Ruby1Nic
Hi Folks, I need to pick the brains of some locals please. Which are the best hotels to stay at closest to the M.E.N Arena? I'm not too fussed on price at this stage but didn't really want to pay more than £100 for the room if possible. (It will be for 4 people so we'd be booking 2 rooms). Thanks
incapuppy
When you know which hotels you are interested in, check laterooms.com for a price
BillyMalc
I'm local but exactly for that reason I wouldn't have a clue about hotels close to the MEN - I go home to my own bed after a gig! Who's playing? T - the MEN = Manchester Evening News arena, a concert hall.
depurple1
I think the MEN arena is about 10 miles from the airport and there are lots of hotels there. Recently I have stayed at the airport at Bewleys, which I would recommend, and the Crowne Plaza, which has small rooms and is overpriced.
BillyMalc
Travelodge and Ibis are all closer by than the airport, just google them to see what would be most convenient
merledogs
MEN Arena is fairly central, so any city centre hotel wouldn't be too far away. Do you want to be walking distance or short taxi ride away? There is Premier Inn close to the Arena : http://www.premierinn.com/pti/hotelInforma...o?hotelId=24125 If you want something posher try the Midland Hotel, you might get a deal there. Salford Quays is a bit further out, but quite nice (try the Holiday Inn Express or Premier Inn there)
Laurel n Hardy
Careful if you are booking the travel lodge, as there are 2 in town and they are about a mile apart - £39.99 a night i think You dont want to stagger halfway across town to find yourself at the wrong one. Kats inc
Di and I have used this site to book hotels near Wembley before. It tells you how far away from the venue each hotel is so is very useful. here is the link for the MEN Stadium Hotels.com HTH I stayed at the Stay Inn last year when I went to the MEN and it's walkable and nice inside and the food is ok too.
