However perhaps there is opportunity for some of the inner city rescues to advertise a similar type of service? Where you pay to take the dog out for a walk for a day, assuming homechecks were done and they signed some sort of contract... but for say £20 a day? I've a friend in my office who would love a dog but doesn't have the time and live right in the town. I've got her signed up to our local RSPCA as a dog walker and also shes now doing paperwork for them as well. She had no idea she could do that sort of thing so I don't think its as well publicised.
