This gorgeous girl is FeeBee, a 14-year-old Collie Retriever Cross with a beautiful nature to match her stunning looks. She has come into the care of the Oldies Club as her elderly owner has sadly passed away.

This golden girl is looking for a loving retirement home where she can live out her final years in peace and quiet. Fee is a very gentle and loving soul who likes to be handled gently in return. She enjoys tender cuddles and talks to you when you stroke her, and you might also get a gentle kiss if you are lucky!

She is a very mellow and laid-back lady who likes to spend her days sleeping in one of her two comfy beds that she brought with her from her previous home. At night time she is happy to sleep on her own, but during daytime she doesn’t like to be by herself and will whine for you when left for too long. She will therefore need a new owner who is at home with her most of the time.

Despite suffering from arthritis, FeeBee still loves to go for walks and comes running to the front door when she realises she is going out! However, instead of walking briskly she prefers to take her time and will often trot behind you, taking in her surroundings and the different smells that are all so interesting! FeeBee is excellent both on and off the lead, and comes and sits next to you when you call for her. She also travels very well in the car and doesn’t mind being brushed or having a bath.

FeeBee would need a home where she can be an only pet. She generally gets on well with other dogs she meets out and about and has shown no signs of aggression, but when they come across as too bouncy and playful she certainly knows how to warn them off! She doesn’t seem to mind cats, however wouldn’t want to live with them.

This sweet girl would love to be someone’s companion who is kind, gentle and as sensitive as she is. All she needs is some space for her two beds and lots of love and tenderness! She likes to watch the world go by, so a new home with a garden would be ideal, where she can chill out in the warmer seasons.

FeeBee is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and worm and flea treated. She has been vet checked and is due to go back in for a dental soon. The vet has also prescribed pain killers to soothe her arthritis as can be quite stiff in her front legs. He also advised that she should lose a couple of kilos, so this means a few less treats in the future! For a dog her age Fee still has very good eyesight and hearing.

Could you be the gentle soul FeeBee is longing for?

Sadly FeeBee has been found to heave some longer-term health problems. She will therefore not be rehomed and will stay with the Oldies Club as a sponsor dog.

Huge thanks to Silke for her care for FeeBee and for offering her a permanent foster home. She can be removed from the rehoming section now :flowers:
