Abigailj Posted November 30, 2007 Report Share Posted November 30, 2007 Enterprising Greyhound Reopens for Business in Aid of Scooby Refuge Roar-ee is an entrepreneurial greyhound who was forced to retire from his enterprising activities due to painful and reoccurring corns that had a ‘devystaytink’ impact upon his ability to use the pc. Very recently Roar-ee became aware of a sad tale about his friends at Scooby refuge in Spain. Almost 200 dogs, mostly Galgos and Podencos in terrible condition, were found in one house in the town of El Cuervo, Sevilla. Scooby came to the rescue and took 80 of the dogs back to their shelter in Medina. Moved by Scooby’s appeals for help, Roar-ee felt strongly that he should try to assist his fellow hounds who were in need of money to help pay for their rescue and rehabilitation, so he set about designing a product that he could sell to help Scooby refuge. Roar-ee said, “ Eye lyke Galgoz an eye lyke desiynink fingz unall. Sew obveeuslee eye ham partikerly chuffd tew bee aybul tew dew sum desiynink wot elpz Galgoz. Itt feelz gud tew bee bak inn bizniz.†“ Pleeze bye arr magnitz az ay present foor yoor fridj. Fridjiz arr himportant yoo no, coz fridjz iz wair awl thee foowd livz. Pleeze bye yoor fridj ay presunt an elp thee dogz att Scoobeee.†Roar-ee was delighted to receive offers of help from many people and dogs, particularly Vena the Galgo who many of you will recognise as the author of the popular ‘Vena’s Diary’. Vena has collaborated with Roar-ee to design their exciting new product. The Scooby fundraiser fridge magnet is available in two designs, one by Vena and the other by Roar-ee. Both are available in human speak or dog speek and will be on sale shortly in the fundraising area. Production and postage costs have all been covered by us so 100% of the profits from the sale of these magnets will be given to Scooby.
