tegk68
Aggie is lame this morning. When I look (following a wrestle to the floor and a good hand grip) it looks like one of her pads are a bit sore. Not much to see but I can see a little tiny bit of weeping I think and a look which suggests she's worn the pad away a bit and she can't bear me touching it. What do I do? Is this a vet visit? Should I bathe her foot - I have hibiscrub here or is it salt and water. I presume no walkies for the next few days? Any suggestions gratefully received. Thank you SCRAP THAT! we've both been a bit braver and I see a cut between her toes. Not bleeding but there is definately one there and it looks very pink indeed. ReikiAnge
Not sure what to suggest without being a vet or seeing her foot, but I would bathe it with salt water for now at least, that can only help, I would think, to help keep it clean. Hope she's ok
our little godsend
Sorry Helen I did see your post earlier and thought "i'm no use nor ornament" on this one I can offer some for Aggie though
tegk68
Thank you both I'll bathe in salt water for now and see how she goes. It would have to be saturday when this happens and not on a weekday, which is of course more suitable for visiting the vets
our little godsend
As it's not life threatening Helen, I would say keep bathing it, keep an eye on it and book Aggie in for the vets on Monday if it doesn't seem to be getting better Oh yes, and keep her walks very limited

redditchlady
Try to keep her off it for the next couple of days as much as possible. Bathe it and let the vet take a look on Monday if it's still sore Helen. Kazz x

Muriel
yep, salt water regularly, as few walks as she'll put up with and bathe after each. It'll heal on its own. Shouldn't need a vet unless it's very deep, but as she's lasted this long I'm sure it's not Reiki if she wants it.
tegk68
Thank you Muriel. Feet are bathed, mess on the floor made. I'm sure she'd appreciate some Reiki and I'd like some tranquilisers too if that's possible as she's now bouncing off the walls
