owl
http://www.doglost.co.uk/forum.asp?ID=7120 This is a weird one. Marven the Munsterlander wandered off on a walk, and was seen being picked up by 2 sixtyish ladies "with posh accents" and put into their rather expensive-looking campervan. They told the witness they were taking the dog to the police, but they haven't been seen since. These people don't fit any of the usual profiles of dog thieves, and we are wondering if they just decided to keep him in case he was unclaimed and pts. It's possible they may hand him in to a rescue. Just don't know where to go woth this one, all helpers in that area have been mailed plus obvious places like vets and rescues on the Doglost list. But if they were on holiday, they could have come from anywhere Any thoughts on this one welcome
owl
Some amended info on this one, courtesy of Doglost helper Mollymops who lives close by and is on the case: "Just spoken to owner again. Marvin was taken by a man and a woman in a camper van from the layby on the brampton bypass close to the turning to Alston. They travelled towards Carlisle with the dog. Thought to be local. Munsterlander rescue, RSPCA and Animal Refuge at Wetheral have been informed. CFM Radio kindly mentioned him on air and Border TV will hopefully be mentioning him on the news."
