  1. Absolutely manic here - why does everyone turn up at the same time . We were supposed to be having the concrete base laid for our kennels this afternoon and we were due to have a dog arrive to stay with us for a week at 11.30 this morning. Said dog and cement lorry turned up at the same time - around midday! So we've had to do all the introductions to the resident animals in the house and all the dogs are now sitting crossed legged waiting for the cement laying bit to finish so that we can let them out into the paddocks!! Deep joy! Dog wot is staying is actually very lovely - black and white springer with a tail - I'll post pics later. She licks the cats
  2. Yuck - we have 3 holiday dogs staying (all arrived this evening at 7 ish!). One we know but Gemma doesn't like much so spends her time threatening said retriever; second two have arrived together - one was a former foster dog who has already had my youngster pinned (but is very trainable), other is pining already for his family The joys of holiday dogs!! By tomorrow, hopefully, it will all be sorted! 15 cats here at the mo! (Shamefully, only 3 are foster Bengals!!) It's a bit busy - and our b.c. is in hyper mode cos it's so interesting lol Di
  3. From the way you've worded this reply, I assume that the old tri rough collie has found it's owners? If not, please can you let me know? Di
  4. So sorry Claire Run free at the Bridge Donna
  5. Ummmm, she hadn't sought any flea or woming treatment from the vet either and if she'd spoken to me I might have listened, but I think the fact that she just put the phone down speaks volumes.
  6. Just had a phone call from a lady who had hoped to rehome a Bengal. I had asked for a vet ref. she asked if the vet had called and I had to tell her that they had but they had told me she didn't vax her existing cat and therefore no way would we rehome one of ours to her. She put the phone down Lucky escape for the cat, I think
  7. also for Sarah - sorry missed your post earlier
  8. Mel and Claire. Nothing at all to suggest to you Claire - you know far more than I do and I'm sure you've done everything you can. Not sure I'm qualified to advise you either Mel, but I've had loads of pups here with my 11 (!!) and some, in fact most of our dogs will put a pup in its place if they think it's overstepped the boundaries. Pups need to learn groundrules from older dogs. If the pup wasn't hurt I wouldn't worry too much but supervise at all times for a while. The pup is probably feeling a little chastised I've got a new pup here at the moment who is a small dog (I don't do small dogs so it's all a bit strange for me!) and she plays with our biggest lurcher, Tali! Tali is probably not playing terribly rough but it looks terrifying to me when he literally chases her, brings her down and rolls her over. To give the pup her due she retaliates and leaps at him (probably a bit of terrier in there somewhere!!). I stop these games but it is worrying when it happens. Hope it all goes smoothly now. Sounds to me like you behaved sensibly with Foo.

  11. Not a bad idea Most of my clothes come complete with dog hairs attached anyway No storms here yet, but it's very muggy.
  12. I've just been told I've got an interview for a job I don't want (I'm being made redundant) and the interview will be a stitch up because the second person on the panel doesn't like me anyway Why, oh why do I have to go through all the hassle of an interview when I'm not going to get the job anyway
  13. I'm so sorry you beautiful bunny. Run free at the Bridge, Amber
