Yes she's very much like that in her coat (and the shape of her face, but I'd put that down to a hint of persian and a chunk of mog *lol*). Her undercoat is grey, not black, too. She's got very odd colouring, like a less exaggerated "smoke" persian. She's a very "cobby" build for a mog too. She's byoootiful. Distinct and unique. Much like Roobers was (but she really did have a face for radio as Baz said PMSL!). Doesn't matter what we do and how much time we put into Grace's fuzz, it's like bloody cotton wool (think there's persian in there as she has the shortish nose too). She's known as Little Miss Clinkers in this house. And witch, but that has nowt to do with her fur (she just doesn't like me, that's all *sob*).

Glad to hear your vet's being helpful etc. I would say though that Metacam has exactly the same risks as Rimadyl and is not the "safer" option many people assume it to be, if you're worried about long term use. Have you thought about hydrotherapy?
