its been a beautiful morning here but now a huuuge black cloud is hovering just over my house and the thunder has started. I think it could be about to pissist it down. I have to go and brave asda after lunch as my fridge is a tad empty.

Morning. got back from egypt at 11.30 last night and back at work now. I think i might get through today on auto pilot and basically blag it! I will now attempt to read the few thousand posts you lot managed while i was away. in the meantime untill i have caught up for anyone who needs any of the above

sorry cant get through the 74 pages you lot managed sinse i left so hope everyone is ok and hello from sunny egypt. Its hot, and i miss reading the daily events here so i found the internet cafe and paid for an hour to try and catch up a bit

At 3 pm i had a major panic. I sat down at my desk to carry on wading through paperwork and my glasses fell off my nose is 2 bits. I rang D&A who i got them off who told me they would have to send them off to be fixed. great except i fly to egypt at 6am so not really very helpfull advice Then i rang the opticians i have been using for most of my life and he asked me to get there asap. He found me a groovy pair of metalic blue frames and managed to grind down my lenses to fit. Bit risky as they are reactorlight lenses and a bit more likely to crack. Bless him he managed it and now i have 2 little holes on each side of the lense where the last frames fitted. I have contact lenses but dont think id like to wear them for 2 weeks solid while away. Ive promised to go back after my hols to get a proper pair sam sorry for not taking your thread seriously in mooncups. I have a depo injection, no periods and didnt take into account environment etc because its not something i need to think about. i didnt mean to offend sorry

Thanks for making me splutter my coffee melp, your reply just had me in stitches and after a really torrid morning of paperwork etc i needed that. I have the depo injection so have no need for any products, eco friendly or not as it stopped everything from the time i started using it.

morning. Im going on my hols tomorow and supposed to be spending a few days in the red sea area of egypt but now waiting for the foreign office to update their site after some bombs went off further up the coast last night. Every time i am going to egypt some bugger bombs it just before i go and my poor mum goes into panic mode even though im usually bout 400 miles away from the affected areas today consists of doing the next 2 weeks worth of paperwork in advance and no doubt i'll forget something!

Sam dont panic. I still have 2 of my baby teeth and i am 36! One each side of my 2 front teeth that didnt have adult teeth above to grow down and push them out. One grew in a perfect point so I had that capped at 15 yrs old. the origional cap is still on because the origional root was so strong. The other baby tooth is just a small tooth that is still there and apart from having it filled now and again because its actually hollow, the roots are strong enough to keep it in place. Id be inclined to leave them be and see if they do weaken and need fixing later on rather than doing it now while she is still growing teeth anyway.

have you tried the cats protection in st helens? Its a nice little shelter and they are usually quite helpfull when ive had to ring them. 01744 817 718. its only about 5 mins from the m62 and very easy to find.

Morning. quietish day looming here, though no doubt i will spend the day telling people we are full for the first week in june and most of the summer. The kids here are still off battled round asda yesterday and got enough ready meals to get me through to next week when i go on holiday. i have no intention of going near any shops again now till then

morning. mass exodus from the kennels today as all the easter weekenders go home. chaos should begin in around 25 minutes time and continue steadily untill around 5pm. supafrisk - glad the advice worked with the taxi tester, Mine was quite nice once i managed to make him smile which was easier said than done as he had a reputation for being a right misery and no one had ever managed to get friendly with him. They make excellent friends when someone you really hate is due for a test and you mention in passing conversation how much work they have pinched from you and how they try and make your life hell.

Claz im shut most bank holidays but i think my lack of religion and in all honesty sheer stupidity made me forget today was one too. I had advertised open good friday to customers so i had to do a token open for the morning. Now im closed, relaxing and thanks to elaine have just choked on a malteser after the zoo pictures started.

Morning. getting ready for the chaos to begin. 7 dogs arriving and 3 cats arriving and all should in theory be here between 8.30 and 1. in reality i start ringing half of them at 12.30 to remind them we shut at 1 on a good friday. Claz, i too had a no show the other day, but it was a good regular so i was a bit suprised. I rang him mobile to discover he was in france, and he had left the details, the vax card and the money with his sister for her to bring them in. He was fuming coz it appears his dogs are probably still at home alone with his sis pocketing the money and going in to feed them once a day.

i have to go to the bank after lunch and into town so i think i had better search out these kitkats as prescribed and see if it makes millions of cats and dogs seem any better

that looks remarkably like my weekend though i might have slightly more cats than that Im not bitter about all those people having a great easter holiday either....

I had virtually the same quandry when i was a taxi driver and needed a pass cert asap. The tester had asked me out for a drink so i said yes but i couldnt say when as i had to batter the radio for a few weeks as well as the clubs etc to pay for the test and the work done etc. I got the pass I did feel a bit mean so i agreed to meet up for a drink, where i kindly explained that his job could be on the line if anyone thought he was actually seeing a driver and the fact i looked after my cab impecably and never failed might look dodgy from his bosses point of view. We ended up having a bloody good giggle all night while he reeled off stupid things taxi drivers try to dupe him into a pass and at the end of it went our seperate ways. We remained good friends too and still catch up for a natter now and again. Just humour him for a bit

crappy day from hell here, im wibbling in my office 1 kennel staff called in sick 1 kennel staff on day off and felt mean calling her in so left her in peace left me with 1 kennel staff and one student for 20 or so dogs and 7 coming in and 3 going home was in the cattery for 7am cleaning out 8 cats and 3 rabbits was in kennels at 7.45 sorting out where to put 7 incoming dogs today then had to sort out the 3 going home and organise one of the remaining staff to bath one electricans arrived to rewire entire kennel block so had to leave dogs in outside runs roofers arrived to re-roof the kennel block electricians blew all the electrics - joy - groomers now unable to clip or dry dogs electricians fixed electrics - groomers stopped wibbling and continued work 5 customers all arrived at 11am - panic time phone hasnt stopped all bloody morning with muppets ringing wanting a kennel over the easter holiday I still havnt had a coffee or anything to eat, or sat down for more than a few mins inbetween running about like a headless chicken.
