  1. for anyone who needs it Paul came on Friday - and it was like I l saw him the day before - without the 25 year gap. On Saturday morning he got a phone call to say his dad collapsed and he had to rush back to London, as his sister who lives 15 minutes away was not to be found . He adored the kids and the kids thought he was very sweet and kind . He will be coming back again, and we will hit Southmpton no doubt
  2. Hope you had a good night Sparkly one I am now starting to wibble a bit. My old school friend who I last saw 25 years ago is arriving this afternoon . I am very excited but also very nervous. Gemma has given up her bedroom for him as I only have a three bedroom house, she has tidied up and changed her bed.
  3. Not much, he is gay and has been out since he was 17, so we are going to do the Southampton gay pubs and one club, meet my friends, play a bit of pool, he will also highlight and cut my kids hair and mine, and we will consume vast quantities of red wine and catch up on 25 years of life
  4. This is our first year in the New Forest. My parents won't come down for the day as they don't like driving in the dark back to London and they will not let my dogs into their house in London, so me and the kids will be taking the dogs for a long walk in the forest in the morning, coming back having brunch and then we will have Christmas dinner and relax Unstressful and perfect the way I like it
  5. for wendy and bumpy About three weeks ago a guy who I knew from sixth form college got in contact with me through friends reunited. We have spoken on the phone twice for about three hours at a time. He is coming down on Friday for the weekend - the last time I saw him was 25 years ago .
  6. the SHWA are stepping in and will try to do what they can, but the microchip might proVe to be a legal minefield as yet I am still waiting for news
  7. I have spoken to Jo at SHWA and emailed her all the details. Her one concern is the fact that the og was rehomed by the RSPCA and the dog should go back to them, and the fact it could be a potentially stolen dog too. I will be emailing her a picture so she can put it up on their forum as a potentially missing dog. What a dire mess
  8. an update for everyone. The RSPCA have spoken to the dog warden and are not claiming the dog as being chipped to them and in their words " the dog will remain in their care" and they could not tell me anything else and what will happen after 7 days. The next step is getting a rescue involved to get the dog out of the pound, neutered and rehomed. I cannot take him as Cosmo has big problems with entire dogs - so I cannot help out on this one
  9. All they have is the area and the estate, the newpaper only archives articles not classified ads, as the paper is a daily one and covers lots of areas. I think the dog was rehomed as a pup which is why it was not neutered to begin with. I agree £60 per day is extortionate !!!!
  10. Hi this either Eastleigh or Southampton I have the phone number if you want to PM me
  11. ok - I have contacted the RSPCA who have clearly stated that they would not have rehomed and entire husky and are disputing the microchip details. To say they are unhelpful is an understatement. They are also stating that they are not the owners of the dog etc etc and my friend who purchased the dog is the owner not them and the microchip information is irrelevant They will contact me back in half an hour I think the next step will be looking at husky rescues so the dog can be got out of the pound and rehomed to an experienced home
  12. The pound are being very unhelpful, and they will not give the dog back to her because of the microchip details, but at the same time are willing to bill her £60 per day and serve notice on her - which does not seem quite right to me. She is keen to see him properly rehomed as he can be unpredictable, and is a very strong dog.
  13. I ma hoping you will ne able to give me some advice. A friend of mine bought a dog in good faith from the Daily Echo in Southampton. Stupid I know anyway. The dog got out and is now in the pound somewhere in Southampton. The dog warden scanned the dog and it has a micro-chip that is registered to the RSPCA somewhere in the north of the UK. Had this been known in advance the dog would not have been purchased. The dog is an entire husky and quite young. The dog warden is refusing to disclose any information regarding the chip, and will be providing a seven day notice on her for kennel fees and also notice to PTS My friend is keen to get this resolved and would prefer the dog to go into rescue and be rehomed with a suitable family. Does anyone have any advice on what to do next, she is trying to contact the RSPCA as we speak, but without the information from the microchip this is proving difficult. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way forward. The 7 days are up on Friday
  14. I am spending way too much time on facebook
  15. for evryone who needs it This morning I have been down to the dump for when it opened and got rif of all the rubbish from my garage, I have been to the Trade depot twice and second time they ended up giving me money which was good. I now have worktops and tap, but the plumbing still needs to be done I think. The tiling guy is coming tomorrow and he has two days work, doing the floor and the wall tiles. Then on Friday the cooker is going in and it will be finished. My kids are back from London on Friday evening as well On the other side of the kitchen it look a mess but that will be done in the next three weeks.
  16. Today I discovered that the people in Romsey are something special. Trekked into town with my savings passbook,, my builders trace card iside the plastic wallet. Went to bank, market and fruit shop - went to the car, back home. I discovered my passbook and everything was missing. Trekked back into town retraced my steps backwards and walked into the bank. One of the cashiers said as soon as she saw me, a lady found your passbook and came and handed it in . I think if it would have been London it would have disappeared without a trace and never be seen again. This has restored my faith in human beings again
  17. to all poorly Fugees and animals Last night I had an Indian tonight I am having chinese as recommended by the Indian delivery driver I have a new floor in my kitchen, but no tiles yet, all the electrics have been done, and I have one wall cupboard up . The plumbing still needs to be done as well. Today my range cooker and hood arrive, but it won't go in until tomorrow - maybe
  18. The kitchen guys turned up today, and my , kitchen is now dismantled and sitting in the garden. The plumbing and electrics are will be moved and the new kitchen will be going in over the next few days. Takeaways for the next few days then
  19. I have discovered that Ian Huntley is on Facebook. He is using another surname. Should he be banned from all networking sites ? or should he be allowed ?
  20. I sent my kids passports off to be renewed 6 days ago, and this morning the new passports arrived ! I am now having a major wibble about the kitchen going in next week
  21. One of the groups I belong to on Facebook are organising a night out so we all get to meet each other
  22. for all that need them My kitchen arrived in boxes and is now in the garage Dogs had a very very long walk, and have come back wet and smelly but tierd I have a Facebook night out on Friday in Southampton
  23. Morning everyone It has been a cold, foggy morning in Romsey My kitchen is arriving in the next few hours so everything is ready for next week, my range will be arriving next Tuesday - after they have pulled the old kitchen out, and moved the plumbing, electrics and the carpet . Half term next week and the kids are visitng London for the first time since we moved as they do not want to be here with the drilling, banging and sawing that will start at 7.30am.
  24. Had a lovely walk with the dogs and kids and the dogs absolutely stink, Jessie rolls in anything that ends in the word shyte and always lies in a muddy smelly puddle. Cosmo loves to swim everyday and hates mud Apparently I am over-qualified to get a part time job at The Leisure Centre
  25. Androgyne You are the best of both worlds, and have absolutely no feeling of being either femme or butch. You see yourself as "you" and that's all that matters. You dislike labels, surprised yourself by even taking this test, and are now laughing as you identify with this definition! You switch roles fluidly without thinking from nurturing/subordinate to providing/leading as the situation demands. You are often a jack or jill of all trades and master of a few, but not all. In clothing you go for the practical, not always bothering with the concept of neatness if that interferes with comfort or the time it takes to get dressed. Wrinkles don't drive you crazy, though you do prefer to keep reasonably up to date in your style, without going to any extreme in it. You are shy in many ways, being intimidated by overt aggression as well as complete silence in a conversation. You tend to babble to fill silent space and clam up when confronted. Odds are good astrologically that you are a Libra, Pisces, Gemini, or Aquarius. You're willing to try anything once as long as it does not pose a risk to you. You're also good at doing just about any job, as long as you find a way to get trained for it. Physically, you're average in fitness, not being overly concerned about being either "curvy" or "chisled". If you are female and have some endowments, you wear a bra in public but not at home. For partners you are comfortable with all types, for you are a peacemaker and changeling at heart, changing yourself to fit the situation and avoid hostility. You aren't a doormat, though, and do express your opionions. Too accurate for me
