  1. Called Sunny. She had a terrible time and was left in a house to die alongside an old Airdale. The RSPCA were heavily involved as was the vet so there is an entire medical history etc. I also have a letter signing her over to me so I am the legal owner. I accepted an "offer of help" for this girl but have since had concerns which have led to the police investigating her whereabouts. She may be in Devon but the police are persuing this line of enquiry. Any info will be treated in confidence as the main concern is simply her welfare and where she has ended up. the incident/ref number is 29523/9 should you want to pass anything directly to the police. my number is 08712300873.
  2. Just ask on freecycle for a new house. Thats what im going to have to do. Danes,Deerhounds and St Bernards eat further up the walls whilst Jacked up Russells do the skirty bords
  3. Morning.........Big stretches and yawns. I got some sleep last night so feel vaguely yooman Its a lovely day out there.
  4. I like to see two car families on here,Mine prefer playing in the 4 by 4
  5. Its tooo hot here on Waltons mountain. Ive had to scrape out Daisys lug holes with a small wet cloth and a large finger and wipe the drool off the milk carton from where she misjudged the pouring at breakfast. Pauliina has taken Daisy and Miska for a nice walk and Ive got to hoover the entire outside from the entire inside before proceeding to the barn armed only with a pitchfork to clean out and put the contents in the veggie garden. This will be puncuated with swearin in Finnish and Pauls stories of Police dogs. Talking of alarm bells did anyone read the Daily Mail yesterday and see the Asbo story ?
  6. Theres your problem Jazz the bed is no where big enough for the dogs and then you expecting to get in it. My Deerhound and Great Dane have a four poster and sometimes if Im lucky I get to sleep in it undisturbed !!! Im so glad though that given this is a rescue site predominantly you have kept with the theme of animals. I wonder if other sites have thier own special versions that suggest they do it better than others.
  7. Im sure I heard that councils are collating info on every house and if people have improved them. Its so they can have everyone for more tax apparently. Working on the improvement principle I should get a discount
  8. Its distressing smelling of urine but far more so when its someone elses. I have to help Daisy dog outside and she is falling about with limited vision. Rolex the Dane took one sniff and stalked off horrified. He will be volunteering himself for the pound if Daisy doesnt stop leaking from every orrifice
  9. This is true. It doesnt work as well with horses
  10. I have checked tide times now Times GMT, heights in metres above chart datum. For times in BST, add one hour. Predictions DO NOT include meteorological effects. (HW - high water, LW - low water) Sat 26th Aug 2006 06:50 1.50m LW 12:19 8.61m HW The sea will be out this morning, I think. Umm Most people check tide times when they are intending to TAKE the children to the beach
  11. Where are you ? Ive got a caravan you can borrow if you dont mind being woken up by the cows.
  12. I d start expressing some milk then or its going to be a long day for him
  13. Its dead easy when he is speaking from the luxury of ignorance and even less responsibility because you ARE a good mother. . I would pin a note to the baby saying you realise he is right and can cope far better than you and get the hell out before he wakes to the sound of a crying infant. Just imagine a whole day of luxury while he is ripping his hair out . Im feeling good about it and I dont even have to listen to him. Im used to dealing with assy horses and huge dogs that want to retrieve cows. I will do you a swap for a day ! I will have him sooo housetrained he will never ever pick on you for being a good mother again.
  14. Cara do regular runs to Devon you may be able to join one of theres to get the doggy there.
  15. I wasnt aware you worked for NASSA. I would have been lost after a few words in
  16. QUOTE(loobie @ Aug 14 2006, 12:30 AM) Took my 3 sons to dinner this evening, I have been such a crappy mum lately I thought they could do with it. Why is everywhere full of nice families with mums and dads - flipping heck they were the only ones there with 1 parent I didnt realise you had THREE sons Loobie. How great is that ? Many people live alone or never have the chance to have one child let alone three, As for blokes There is a lot to be said for the old saying. Why die in somebody elses emptyness when you can die in your own When you are alone you are free to choose to be with somebody when they appear in your life
  17. http://buy.at/trallwmfarm If you go onto here you can compare cheaper gas and leccy prices AND help feed the animals at the Zoo
  18. Did you know that if you have two dogs of any breed they form a choir. Trouble is they all have to practice together and usually at 5am The two Danes without doubt sing base and the loudest but Whoppity needed to join in with a bit of foxhound yodelling. being blue he continued the theme and I may rename him muddy waters. Every else just chips in on the choruses For me it still seems like halfway through the night but I shall attached a perma smile as soon as Ive drunk my tea
  19. Phillips are brilliant and the longest range. I can use mine up on the hill. Unfortunately they are not rain proof and dont work after they have been left outside all night !!!
  20. A virtual jeraboam for a dog who knew how to live
