I am going to Amsterdam in the Whitsun holiday with my new (nearly 4mths) chap! Going to see a Van Gogh exhibition starring my fave painting, the Starry night ( on loan from New York). I am soo looking forward to going away, seeing the exhibition, and having fun

At the moment I go to a women only gym three times a week, each session lasts for 30 mins. Using machines for 30 secs and running on the spot for 30 secs. I have lost lots of inches from my body, but am thinking of ways to save money. Does anyone use the wii fit instead of going to a gym, and if so how does it rate?. I want to keep the amount of fitness that I have (or improve it), and am not sure what you do with a wii fit and how effective it is. I am sure a fugee can give me a good answer

I have spent most of today painting in my garden, back gate, both sides 2 coats, son painted a bench (then I filled in the missing bits) and the shed which also had 2 coats of paint. It is all a lovely deep blue (one of my favourite colours), it goes with my newly cream painted wall. As well as painting I had to produce food!

I did my first assessment as an Age Concern volunteer

I got up at 7.15 this morning to give son his easter egg! Teenage daughter still asleep!

We went to London yesterday and had a fantastic time. My son was speachless when we walked into the main hall and saw all the planes, tanks and other military stuff. We were there for nearly 5 hours, and felt completely "wared" out by the time we left. We ended up using the tubes to maximise the amount of time at the museum as the train we were due to catch was cancelled, which meant we arrived in London at 12.30. It was funny to see that the majority of the people there were male, and that the men were as enthusiastic as the boys!

Well I had the interview today and it went really well. But again I didnt get the job. I was told that 48 people applied, 7 were shortlisted and 5 of those were teachers (including me). Apparently I scored the highest for 2 questions, gave a very good interview, but was unsuccessful yet again

Went to the docs today for the results of my second set of blood tests. Doc said I am v v v anemic, iron tablets have been increased from 1 per day to 3. I have to take them for 3 mths and then have another blood test.

I have been banging my head against a brick wall so long now (trying to get a teaching job with a contract) I have decided to change direction. So, I have an interview next Thursday for a Home School liasion officer (one rung below a Ed Welfare officer). I want to be a EWO, but the last post advertised in Cardiff had 74 applicants, so I am going to try to get in and work my way up. If anyone knows anything about this area and can give advice it would be gratefully received.
