Are you sure its an allergic reaction? The dryness and flaking look like it could be psoriasis or excema (can never spell that word) also allergies usually come with swelling which i cant really see in the photo

They built a nest in my room!!! We cant turn the heating off here and i had to have my windows closed because they kept coming back to look for it. I hate wasps

What accusations about the refuge?

Is there any difference between DP and Refuge then? You cant have 70-80 odd pages of people complaining that they arnt allowed to voice their opinions and then do excatly the same thing!

I have watched this comment with great interest. 6ish months ago a rescue i worked very closely with was issued a 'warning' and was made to choose which internet forum to post on. I wanted to post and make more people aware, but this would of jeopodised the rescue, who use DP alot for fundraising/ transport/ networking etc etc. In the end the dogs would of suffered, which is most important. I hope as many people as possible can help RDR and the dogs, when i get paid a donation will be made Ps. Im banned from dp for knowing someone, who walked with someone, who was friends with someone that set up a website of dogpages.co.uk or something along those lines . Im not really too clear. I wasnt given a reason why i was banned but i only found this out through the grape vine

I have to keep all my windows closed because of the wasp nest that was built in my room. The heating in the house wont go off, although radiators are off, the boiler alone is hot enough to heat the entire house. Im really looking forward to going out in 30mins for a hep B injection

UPDATE: Blue is doing really really well as a tripod! Apprantly he is tearing round and being a typical 1 year old lurcher. For the first time he was able to go upstairs. Stitches are due out next friday and then hes up for rehoming

Im a bit lost spiritually. There are far too many questions unanswered in my life and i feel sometimes empty. I was born a roman catholic, did my holy communion and went to roman catholic schools until i was 16. I hated mass, it was boring, unappealing and for someone with a short concentration span it was hell (sorry if that offends but sitting still isnt something i do). I dont know what i believe, i believe there is something out there but i dont know where to start looking. Any ideas about particular churches that are more active in the community and practice what they preach? I dont want to sit there and be told that god dictates 'love thy neighbour' when half the people their didnt know their neighbour nor the surrounding community. Thank you

Im going to be different and say no. Ive always wanted a GSD for working purposes. Ie competitive in schutzhund/ higher obdience/ agility etc etc etc. I obviously would like something young so 4-6 months and under, and something where i know the parents, so i would know about any possible medical conditions/ hip scoring/ temperament etc etc Obviously i would search every rescue first. But how many gsd puppies come in with complete heritage and hip scores? I helped foster/rehome 200 odd dogs and then the hunderds ive helped in the kennels. And i will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Even if i cant foster i will always help out transport/fundraising etc etc. I also want a older staffie (because they rock and everyone over looks them ) and a springer because they are just daft. I would never go to a BYB or anything along those lines, but i wouldnt want a puppy for training only to realise a year or so down the line that they have hip problems etc etc If i wanted a collie for training it would be totally different as there are hundreds out there every day being PTS.

I think its banana, but he was a hand in so has a previous name. Hes a little on the podgy size and is a small spaniel X! Ps he might not like having his belly trimmed- got a little to scissor happy. In my defence he had matts down to the skin

I know there is def a small spaniel x which kirsty attacked with scissors and now needs a clip to rectify the awful hair cut!
