  1. She's going to the vet tomorrow now.
  2. Yesterday I noticed that Poppy has a couple of circular crusty scabs on her head and tops of her ears - not an awful lot, but there nonetheless - previously I'd seen a couple and thought they were old scars from single teeth puncture wounds from fighting - as she does have several scars on her face and legs and weird scarring that causes the bottom of her ears to fold up. I did wonder if it might be mites, but if it were sarcoptic surely she would have lost fur everywhere (she does scratch occasionally, but nowhere near the amount I'd expect with mites) and if it were demodex then the fur would shoot out when squeezed, but this didn't happen either.. I should also add that she's been with us for about a month now and Mir our other dog has no problems whatsoever - again, making me think it is nothing infectious.. I've cleaned the area with tea tree oil, and will be checking it over the next few days to see how it goes and if it disappears - just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this, or might have come across it themselves?

He had some issues we were unaware of, as the vet who had handed him in to the rescue had unfortunately lied about his circumstances. We discovered a trusted behaviourist that had previously seen him (2 years previous) who stated he was a liability, and after he bit me it was decided this was something that would not change. We're both incredibly upset about him still. I have to say I have never seen my other half cry in the years I have known him until we were at the vets with him. We stayed with him throughout, and afterwards to make sure he had company who loved him when he left us. Sweet dreams Heccy...

Well, what can I say skinny boy, we didn't think we'd lose you quite so soon.. You settled in so quickly, you seemed like a part of the furniture after a matter of days, you were so loving and affectionate to us. We fought to get you in the first place, and were so pleased how well you got on with Mir - you had us in stitches running around the place! I'm so, so sorry people ruined you. I know we all made the right decision, but it doesn't make it hurt any less right now. I'm glad it was me you bit or I wouldn't have believed it. We miss you
  5. My hair so well resembles hay that the horses often take a fancy to it - have you any suggestions?
