What makes you think I'm not.
  4. Not jealous then Lesley. It is beautiful isn't it? Logan and the two traillies got on together with no problems although they were crated till I arrived at Corley. Nice to see you again anyway.
  5. Yesterday I met with Marion and her friend to continue with 2 lovely Traillies on their way to rescue, but although I love them this is what really made my day. Marions friend Ruby has done a wonderful drawing of my Scampi and Dylan, although the photo reproduction is not as good as the drawing I think you will see why I am so over the moon. Ruby has really caught the character of both my boys and I will certainly treasure this wonderful tribute to 2 very faithful companions. My O/H Colin is thrilled too and says we must get a special frame to display it at it's best. Thank you so much Marion and Ruby, I wish I had the talent to create such beautiful images.
  6. Yes he is now very safe in rescue and what a lovely friendly boy. Once out of the car and in reception his tail started to wag, and he just greeted everyone he met with a waggy tail although he did seem to prefer the men. Perhaps his previous owner was male. He walks very well on the lead and is an all round beautiful lad, not a grumbly or nasty bone in his body. He travelled for a very large part of his journey in close proximity with 2 traillies who were going to another rescue and all seemed fine together, although I think once they had departed and I collapsed the crates and he had the whole back of the car to himself he was happier, he didn't really like being in the crate. He poked his head over the seat a couple of times to have a cuddle from my friend who came with me today. Anyway here he is en route following a little walk and a drink.
  7. Please help this old lad, I am coming from Lancaster and pass Charnock Richard, I need to get to Corley by 12-30pm with the other 2 dogs I have in the car and then I can continue with Logan to his rescue place.

    Busy Day

Here are my 3 travelling companions taken to rescue today. First the gorgeous Zeeta GSD X Akita, signed over to the pound by her pregnant owner. What a bonny girl she is, friendly and a lovely girl, though pulls like a train on the lead. Zeeta. Next was a cute littlie called Skittles, around 10 months old. Such a good little lad but wanted to be off on arrival and wouldn't keep still for his picture taken. He has a look of a JRT Dachsie X with long body and stumpy little legs, but such a sweetie. Skittles. Next there was a sad Collie X girl called Blackie who had been living rough in a factory yard for a year, eventually caught and now in rescue and looking for that loving home. Blackie, just look at those sad eyes. She will now receive plenty of TLC until that special home comes along. I almost brought her back to live with me and mine.
  9. He'll get there, I'm adding him to my traillie run then doing a detour with him, taking him to rescue once I have met up with my contact at Corley. Can't let an old lad down can I?
  10. According to this site http://www.shawlein.com/The_Standard/07_Co...p;_Pigment.html yes they can come with these colourings.
  11. Has anyone read his book 'Busters Diaries' It's excellent IMHO and really shows how much he loves him.
  12. HAPPY 3RD GOTCHA DAY DILLON Many more happy days to come.
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVELY BOY When we rescued Scampi all those years ago he was around 5 months old, we don't know his actual birth date so decided he should share with my O/H. You have lightened our lives my old and faithful friend.
  14. He's gorgeous, and those ears.
  15. If the other dog and owner is to blame then yes he should have a claim for vet fees at least.
  16. This morning I picked up this little old chap from Oswaldtwistle and had the pleasure of his company to Strensham to meet up with Loobie who escorted him the rest of the way to rescue. A charming little lad with just one eye but so sweet. His owners just never came for him this time poor mite, he must have wondered what on earth was going on. Good luck old feller may you find a more loving home soon with someone who really cares. Hope you got back OK Linda and thank you once again. Little Max.
  17. Since it's more than likely the RSPCA who brought the prosecution in the first place, definitely report them.
  18. He's in this list. http://www.rykat.org/forums/index.php?show...mp;#entry408018
  19. Yesterday I picked up these 3 for transport to Bedford, placing them into the car in sequence according to their sizes and ease of travel. First there was lovely Ryan who went into a crate, such a sweet young lad, who on arrival wanted nothing but cuddles. Then next came norty, strong bouncy Toby who was restrained behind the driving seat on a short lead and D ring to stop him climbing over. He tried to make a break for it by snapping open his collar (hate those clip type collars, I have found them unsafe before so should have known better) when I stopped at Lymm to meet up with Lauren and my 4th dog a lovely big, strong Akita X girl. He didn't get very far though, I grabbed him by the scruff and held on, bundling him back into the car and applying a proper stronger collar and fastening him in again. Last but not least was gentle puppy Nadine who travelled on the passenger seat restrained and gave gentle kisses and cuddles, she has a possible home waiting once assessed etc: Sorry no pictures of Heidi, take my word for it though she is young, beautiful and strong, she travelled in my largest crate. The journey once we set off was uneventful except for Toby occasionally barking down my (L) ear. We arrived safely and all four are now in rescues.
  20. I was out all day yesterday and didn't hear about norty Annie till later last night. Thank goodness she was found, what a relief.
  21. Thank you all. I always feel a little embarrassed accepting compliments gracefully. I enjoy what I do and as long as I feel the dogs are safe then I'm totally happy. Just don't know how I found the time to work full time previously, my days are more full that ever before. Oh and Sarah, just tell my Toy Boy, I'll untidy his kitchen more often in future. I'm just so pleased that Tansy is safe and sound.
