    Odd Question

i know their noses are supposed to be wet but how do they get wet? i presumed it was some sort of pores that did it?
  6. we had just come in from our walk, i been trying to capture that look for days! RMF i think i am becoming obsessed
  7. i got a really sweet piccie of Peaches witha smiley face on her, will try and post it somewhere later that poor lab has such a noble look to his face very
  8. thanks for all the tips and advice. i am not worried but since she had such a rotten start it would be nice to see her enjoying herself playing. i think the treat ball would be a nice idea since she does enjoy her kibble! she has a kong but apart from licking it she doesnt seem to understand what else to do with it and ignores it.
  9. probably is early days still, it just doesnt feellike it i feellike she has always been here. if i try and tease her she just looks scared/unsure. if i go down the bottom of the garden with her and say come on! in a exited way she charges up the path tail and tongue going heading for the back door, she doent slow till she gets in the front room. i have tried it going the other way but she just sits and looks at me.
  10. i am after some advice in doggy chat if you ladies wouldnt mind having a look.
  11. Peaches is a happy little dog but she has no idea what to do with toys, you wave one at her and she looks at you as if to say what am i supposed to do with that. has anyone got any suggestions on what i could do to teach her how to play, i would love to play fetch etc with her but atm i can't even get her to carry a toy in her mouth. i had thought of rubbing chicken all over some of them to see if she would get the idea.
  12. yay etc etc as required. its bloody cold here i wanna go hibernate!! i might just go snuggle up on the sofa with the snoring one.
  13. Mochelle fom me and cute eyes from her. she's now asleep on my lap, such a shame i have washing up to do. i just couldnt wake her up to do that.

    Peaches!

we call it burrington but i not sure what its proper name is. if you ever see a bunch of loons dressed up in weird clothing hitting each other with fake weapons you can be sure i am not to far behind.
  15. morning all, i have a soggy doggy asleep on my leg. i definately have a fair weather dog here she wimpered all the way round and was obviously much happier when we turned tail and came home. is it wrong for me to read all the nice posts people make about her and feel all mushy. and to go back and read them over and over?
  16. Piccies and waffle up in the dog chat forum. herself is on the sofa and yes you guessed it she is snoring.

    Peaches!

I found the cable and got the good pictures from hubbies phone! http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/C.../DSC00124-1.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/C...es/DSC00117.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/C...es/DSC00123.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc272/C...es/DSC00125.jpg She has settled in well, we had some hiccups the first week where she wouldnt eat. i genuinely think she didn't like what was offered as i have switched her from a fish to turkey kind and she loves it. true to a cav she follows me everywhere and even if i go to the loo she will sit outside the door staring at it till i come out. we finally got her a crate as once she was settled she started scratching at the kitchen door to come out and more to stop her from keeping hubby awake i slept downstairs on the sofa bed with her for a couple of nights. she is much happier now and goes in her crate with out trouble. it is lovely to have someone so obviously happy to see me when i crawl out of bed in the morning and if i have been out to the shops. she was a bit wary of hubby for a while and i think it was just because she did'nt spend much time with him but after the first weekend when he was at home all day she is just as happy with him. having her has helped me as much as it has her as i am going out everyday, normally at about 6:30am when we take hubby to catch his bus then carry on for our walk, i must admit i don't understand why she seems much happier when we are going home then when we are leaving. maybe its because she knows then when we get back from our walks is when she gets fed . she gets another walk at night and she has access to the garden most of the day as the weather is so nice i tend to leave the back door open. i did worry about what would happen if i did'nt have the door open but she has this way of looking at me which says mummy i need to go out and i get up and open it for her to go out. (can dog's be telepathic?) she spends most of her day either asleep on my footstool in front of me or on the sofa (also asleep) and there has been instances where she is asleep on one cushion on the sofa and me and hubby are squashed up on the other (its a 2 seater sofa). i really could ramble on about her all day but i wouldnt want to bore anyone . we went out to the mendips a couple of weekends ago and when my mate gets round to sending me the pictures i will post them up on here. FYI i love her to bits and i am really REALLY happy!!
  18. i will do that when i have better pictures of her, the only ones i have atm are the ones from the first night and poor baby was terrified.
  19. hello all long time no see! as appropriate. been really busy here with our new roomie (who is currently asleep on my footstool atm snoring) is there a forum for posting stories about you rloved ones on, i might be tempted.
  20. well i spent this morning in chainmail armour and apart from achey feet i don't feel to bad, i definately feel fitter and i only had one wibble moment with the astma, this was after 10 mins of running around and fighting so it is to be expected. actually nice day in all.
