  1. Sending big hugs to Julia and everybody else who needs them. I had a night out last night and have a hangover Only had 4 hours sleep, but was laying there wide awake so thought I'd have a cup of tea then go back to bed and try and sleep.
  2. Wooohooo, am finished for the week, off home shortly. Have a fun weekend all and see you tomorrow Moonyboobs (though be gentle as I am planning to have a hangover).
  3. Amber I was expecting to have an extra long meeting today with a supplier who had flown in from Paris to meet with me, but we finished the meeting early so he has gone. Director has been on the phone demanding a couple of hours of my time today (ain't gonna happen) so I told him I am finishing at 3pm and in meetings the rest of the time, he can bog off. He wants me to go to Wakefield office to meet with him Monday, but I don't have a car do I, so how can I possibly go? Feckwit, he's only spitting his dummy out because he is extremely controlling and I am not at his beck and fecking call Oi, missus Windy Moonyboobs, can you text me and let me know wot time you are arriving chez madmerle tomorrow? Taffy's licking his lips in anticipation.
  4. How gorgeous is that picture? I better go and get ready for work, need to be in early today. Won't be around much today coz have meetings on and then I have a visitor over the weekend so will be busy Windy Moonyboobs I will see you tomorrow, just text me what time you are coming
  5. Ooooh, forgot an RMF from last night. After spending weeks stripping my living room, scraping the walls down, filling holes, then wallpapering and painting, I thought I was going to get it finished last night, but I ran out of paint just before I finished. I might take photos this weekend if I can get to B&Q to get some more paint to finish it. Still need to paint the ceiling though.
  6. Natty sending more big - hope ickle Thumbelina is on the mend soon, she's such a sweet little thing.
  7. Wendy we need pics of her nooo collar please RMF : I have been making enquiries about hiring a car for a couple of days so I'm not relying on taxis constantly, but have just realised that I don't have my driving licence coz I sent it back to DVLA last week for a change of address, so can't even hire a blimmin car. Oh well, at least I have a chauffeur to drive me around at the weekend.
  8. Garage has been on the phone, apparently they now think it's an electrical fault and they have been in touch with my insurance company, who are refusing to pay for them to investigate further, so I have asked them to drop the car off at my local garage this afternoon so I can get him to have a look at it. My usual mechanic, Brian, said it doesn't sound electrical, but he will have a look at it and if he can't see what's the matter he will ask his guy who does the electrics to have a look at it Saturday morning. I waaannntttt Larry Laguna back
  9. The car saga continues The garage have no idea what is wrong with it, they have never encountered this problem before. Usually if there are problems after the wrong fuel has been put in, the engine cuts out. On my car the engine keeps running but there's no acceleration. Then if you stop the car and start it again, it goes again. It's at the Renault dealership linked up to a Renault life support machine - please send healing thoughts for my poorly car, I never realised how much I love that car or how ideal it is for me and the mutts until now I have insisted on a courtesy car though and they have said they will get me one by the end of the day, so at least I will be mobile again and won't have to rely on taxis.
  10. Morning all. Am hoping I get my car back today and that I won't have to shell out lots of squids Must make doctors appointment today, need to see her about sumfink. Am being waxed tonight so will be like this --->
  11. Still no car. Barstewards can't find what's wrong with it so it has gone to renault dealer to be hooked up to a diagnostics compooter fingy.
  12. Samsung. I have an oversized Samsung fridge and it's brill
  13. She'll soon come out when she's ready, she'll soon learn that you aren't scary RMF : I am bored witless and very tired. And my car is still at the garage - they were supposed to pick it up first thing this morning but they didn't pick it up 'til gone 12 I am waiting to hear if they have managed to fix it. I hate being car-less Congratulations narnty Gnasher
  14. Nah, you won't feel a thing And if you do you can always numb the pain with alcofrol like the rest of us
  15. Hello The warning bit is if you's naughty you get zapped by Pingu's ray gun
  16. Helen if you want some help cobbling a CV together let me know, I'd be happy to help. The forms they send out will usually suffice though as they will ask about education, last jobs you had, experience, etc. You can't beat a nice juicy plum.... or two
  17. Spoken to garage, they are going to collect my car either last thing today or tomorrow and if they can't sort the problem they will refund my money and I will have to open up the claim with eSure again. I hate being car-less!
  18. They did arrange it, but I paid the garage direct because they charged £141 to do the work and my excess was £150, so I cancelled the claim with eSure. When I rang the garage last night they got quite aggressive and firstly said maybe my clutch had gone then they said it was a bit of diesel still working its way out and it needed a good run for about 50 miles or so (all well and good, but I can't get it to the top of the road so no way am I going on a motorway). He recommended I run it with my foot on the accelerator to try and work the diesel through, which I did for about half an hour last night (it still wouldn't go). When I got in it this morning it started straight away and I ran it round the block a couple of times, it was fine, but it seems that once the engine heats up that's when it goes wonky. It's now sat on the drive with the engine running spewing out noxious fumes (and I've just had a community support officer knock on the door to tell me my car's going to get nicked if I leave it there with the engine running - I told her they would be welcome to try but they wouldn't get very far ).
  19. Tell me about it My car started this morning so I drove it round the block several times. Once it had warmed up it went wonky again It is currently sitting on my drive running, I am going to sit in it and rev the engine lots so that if it is a bit of diesel still in it, it will work its way out. If it doesn't sort itself within half an hour the garage will be getting a stroppy phone call.
  20. Morning all. I am not having a good week. Having got my car sorted and delivered back to me yesterday, it broked down on my way home I am now car-less again and I will be having an argument with the garage wot is supposed to have fixed it when they open this morning.
  21. I sometimes wish I could engage my brain before I open my gob. Wibble
