  1. Shazzy (or should that be "22") It is snowing again here, but not very heavy and don't think it will last very long. Dogs enjoying it though and Timmy is doing his "loony" running around the garden/into the house/around the garden/into the house, etc
  2. I may be going to Crufts this year, probably on the Saturday. I need to check whether my dogsitter can do a Saturday first though. Oooh, almost forgot, we have had snow Not very much admittedly, but it has stuck and the doglets were a bit surprised this morning when they went out for pee-pees Have just realised something - I could have had a lie in this morning as I have an appointment for a cholesterol test at 10.30
  3. Moony, run free Taz piggie Morning all. I have woken up with lurgy. Well actually it started with a sore throat yesterday morning but this morning has developed into full lurgy, ie sore throat, stuffy nose, coughing, general feeling crappiness. If I didn't have a major thing to do at work today I would scive off, but I can't so may do it tomorrow instead, as it's Friday. I am still car-less and the part that is needed for it (fuel pump) is not in stock and will take 3 working days from date of order (today) so I am car-less again at the weekend. Which reminds me, my visitor last weekend was foolish enough to allow the dogs in the back of his (non-estate) car, albeit on top of blankets and throws. Don't think he accounted for the hair stuck to the back of the front seats, mud on the ceiling, snotty nose windows, etc He had to have his car valeted on Monday and they charged him extra because of the dog hair. Said person has, however, said that he would still do it again
  4. Milly had cartrophen injections for her HD and tbh they made absolutely no difference whatsoever. The only thing which made a difference is Synflex (liquid glucosamine) - she's been on it for nearly two years and it's still working wonders.
  5. I hate insurance companies, I hate not having a car In fact I hate everybody and everything today, including very loud colleague who is cackling down the phone to her mate and who I am about to strangle
  6. Egg cup? I have been to the pub for lunch as colleague is leaving. Apart from that I am having a shite day and will happily rip anyone's head off who upsets me, shortly before bursting into tears That'll be my hormones again then Yay for Amber - about time you had some good news!
  7. Congrats on your new modlygodly status Whyfor are you wearing a skirt?
  8. Today I am mostly being hormonal (again) Ooo, I only need 12 more posts to make it to 300 - will get me thinking cap on!
  9. Morning all. to Amber - I think most of us here will know exactly how you feel, but I know that's no comfort to you now. The only thing which is true, even though it's a cliche, is that time is a great healer. You are young and beautiful. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason, if it was meant to be it would have, but you are obviously destined to be with someone else who is more worthy of you.
  10. Can I start the new one, can I?!! Bugger, beaten to it, can a mod please delete?
  11. Tracey RING THE POLICE woman, don't let these arseholes get away with harrassing you.
  12. Tracey who is your phone provider? Ring them and tell them you are having nuisance calls and you want them traced. Also ring the police, they may be able to do something, even if it's only to have a word with who you think it is. That might shut them up.
  13. I've not considered a coil simply because I thought that unless you'd given birth, coils were not really suitable? Does anybody know if this is the case or not?
  14. They haven't done any tests, it is something which I've suffered with for 10 years on and off. When I first went to the doc about it in my early thirties she said that in all likelihood I had stopped ovulating, which meant I would probably not be able to conceive naturally (didn't want kids anyway, so not a problem in that respect). I told the doc about it today and he nodded his head so think he probably agrees. I have tried vitamin B supplements, Starflower and Evening Primrose Oils and although they do help a bit, they don't make a huge difference. Hopefully the mini pill he has prescribed will make a difference, if not then it's back onto the combi pill.
  15. Hellooooo. I have been to the doctor this morning in an effort to get my hormones sorted out - my periods are really irregular - sometimes two weeks on the trot - but it's the PMT that really bothers me, I suffer badly and it's no fun when it seems that I am constantly either having a period or else suffering from PMT. I asked doc to put me on the mini pill, which he has done and which I need to start taking the first day of my next period. I am a bit scared because last time I tried it, I ended up feeling suicidal within a week and had to stop taking it. He said if I don't get on with it, he will put me back on the combined pill, even though I am over 35 and have a history of heart disease in the family. Not ideal and I am a bit scared but if the mini pill doesn't do the trick then I will do it just to sort my hormones out.
  16. Oh Anne It's horrible being separated from the one you love.
  17. The Boots own brand one is exactly the same as the nicorette one but cheaper
  18. I gave up with an inhalator, found it quite easy too because you still have something to suck on and you still get a nicotine hit in the back of your throat. Would definitely recommend it.
  19. I've done it once before with Taffy, but that was summer and it was warm out. In my defence I was shattered last night, had been asleep on the sofa, got up and let the dogs out then locked the door and went to bed, so I was still half asleep, but that's no excuse. He appears to have forgiven me though
  20. Almost forgot, I am officially a bad mummy Woke up at 5 am to the sound of a dog barking outside. Cursed neighbour over the road for leaving his dog in the garden to bark at that hour At 5.45 am I realised that the bark sounded familiar and when I got up and did a body count realised I had left Beau outside all night Poor thing, he was soooo pleased to be let in and the other dogs were so excited to see him, I felt like the worst mum in the world
  21. Wish I'd known yesterday, I'd have sent him out for an hour so we could have chatted. PM me if you want to offload anytime or if you want to meet up for lunch/coffee one Sat/Sun (providing I have my blimmin car back)
