Afternoon. Been pottering about emptying the sideboard which a charity is collecting on Weds. Made me sad cos it's got the five dogs' and Kinky cat's ashes in. I want to keep them near me, plus when I die I want my ashes scattered together with theirs, so keeping them in the sideboard makes them easy to find when I pop my clogs.

I'm still having fun with Lil 🙄 I've just had to spend £300 on a new Dyson cos The She Devil chewed the cable on my old one and it blew up when I plugged it I 👿 Her house training is coming on very slowly. She had her first clean night last night 😊 which I was chuffed about until I let her upstairs when I was in the shower and she sh*t on my bedroom floor, which I then stood in with bare feet 🤬🥴😄 She had her spay a few weeks ago thankfully, so at least that's out of the way.

Hello Fugees. Hope you're all well 👍 I am looking for ideas for a holiday cottage to take the mutts next June. I want somewhere no more than 2ish hours drive from Manchester. Obvs must be dog friendly (properly dog friendly, not one of those places that has a list of caveats) and must have an enclosed garden and be no more than a 15 minute drive to the beach. I'm looking at Anglesey but would appreciate other suggestions as well. I thought about going back to Little Dumpledale but it's too much of a drive unfortunately.

Lily chewed through the 5th phone extension cord today, even though it was inside cable protector and I'd taped it to the skirting board 🤬 Have ordered another and a spare just in case. This time I'm going to see if I can take it over the top of the door and high up on the wall so the ratbag can't reach it. It was obviously tasty because when she did a poo she brought it inside to eat it again.

Glad your sats are up Maz 🌝 I don't buy cards or pressies, apart from Secret Santa at work. Don't really celebrate Christmas but I do enjoy the extra time off and the christmas dinner which I make for myself and the mutts 🐾🐾

Sorry to hear about Ashley ❤ I did think about keeping Jac as the only dog and think he would be happy to have me to himself, but as I go into the office 3 days a week, it's nice for him to have the company 🐾🐶🐾 How are the boys?

I'm *this* close to committing dogicide 😤 I have just put the 4th phone extension to the broadband box down after the She Devil 👿 chewed through the first three. I bought some cable protector so she couldn't get at it. Guess what? She's managed to get it out from under the cable protector and chew through the fecking wire again 😬🤬😡

Not exactly pretty are they?🙄 Maz well done on the weight loss 🌝 I managed to cancel the order for the washing machine so will keep the vouchers until I need something electrical.

Maz you're always helpful to know in a crisis 💐 After googling I found how to drain it from the bottom thingy, which still flooded the place BUT I did find a bit of detritus in there which I removed and now it's working again. Shame I ruddy ordered a new one which I paid for with instant vouchers I bought which are non-refundable. I will take delivery of it anyway and give the old one to someone in need.

It was indeed the one on the canal 🌝 My ruddy washing machine won't empty ☹ I can order another but I'm going to have to open the door and let all the water out. Deep joy.

We saw Phoebe and Wispa on Lost and Found this morning 🐕 Bloke who was brought up in my house was convicted on Friday of murder after bludgeoning his wife to death. She was a nasty piece of work by all accounts and abused him physically and mentally. His downfall was that he tried to cover it up. Even her own mother spoke up for him in court, saying that he was an angel for putting up with her. If it was a woman killing an abusive man I wonder whether it would have been viewed differently.

I'm in the office today, deep joy I stood outside with Lil for 15 minutes this morning trying to get her to wee. She wouldn't go and as soon as we came back in, she went on the rug ☹ Jac had a right go at her yesterday, he's so possessive of me, his toys, etc. I've been working on it and he's getting better but Lil's the dog equivalent of someone with no filter. She just goes steaming in. She's going to be bigger than Jac and she's already showing some signs of standing up to him, so puberty is gonna be fun.

Lily (aka ratbag) chewed through the phone extension cable attached to the broadband box for the second time in a week yesterday, so I ordered another one which arrived today and this time I tacked it to the skirting board. She's only bloody pulled it loose and chewed through it again ☹ I've ordered another one but also some cable protector to cover it with. Hate poopies.

Get well soon Marion My favourite doctor is an elderly gent. I love him because he says it like it is. Last time I was there he told me I needed to lost a few stone. I said I needed to lose more than that. He told me I should aim lower cos I was never gonna be a waif 🤣

Lily loves telly, especially if it features dogs 🥰 Her fave is Lost and Found. Maz tell the receptionist if the doctor cant see you, you'll have to go to A&E. It costs my doctors £60 every time a patient of theirs goes to the hospital, so they are very keen to avoid that. We had a lovely long walk. Lil's recall is coming along brilliantly and 80% of the time she races back to me when I call her, but is she's interacting with another dog I might as well be shouting at the moon.

Moaning. When I spoke to the bloke at the rescue and mentioned the increased risk of pyo he said that I wouldn't have to worry about that for 8 years. I found that an odd thing to say.

Tearing my hair out with Lily's house training. Trouble is she doesn't just wee in one place and won't wee outside. The vet suggested puppy pads, so I put one down and within five minutes she was shredding it.

No chance of any peace lol. My Rhodos are still going, although I'm probably not looking after them as well as I should. I want to move some into the borders but I'll need to get someone to dig the holes for me.

I've checked the adoption form, which says that not only am I the owner/keeper from the point of signing but that I'm also responsible for any vet fees from the same point. There is a neutering voucher which I can use with their vets, so I'll ring them tomorrow and have a chat.
