  4. Fingers crossed, Tara has found a great new pad, 6 acres, horses, dogs, goats, cats..... and rabbits !!! and by the sea as well, I think I will slip my name onto the adoption form as well. Have told her to be on best manners, and not eat the rabbit when they are looking !!!! They really do sound great people, they are coming to visit Tara on Friday and if all goes well, she will return home with them. Tissues at the ready !!! What will I do then..... house will be to quite, no tornado running around, no one eating shoes, walls....... mmmmmm need a new project....... anyone !!!!!!!!!!!

  6. My 19 year old jack russel has a callapsed trachea, but also has a grade 5 heart murmour. I guess that they have ruled out heart problems, coughing can be a sign of heart problems ? She has steriods when her trachea is playing up, which touch wood is not very often, mainly when you put pressure on her throat, she no longer wears a collar as the slightest pressure sets it off, walks are now on a harness !! I hope yours is just an infection and clears up quick
  7. The sad day is coming when my foster dane goes to a new home, she came in as a very sick puppy, now signed over and 10 months on is ready for her new home. The homecheck has been done so the beautiful girl fondly known as 'Tara the Tornado' goes to her new home next weekend.......... oh dear the tears will be flowing, she is a great girl and I will miss her, wont miss all the chewing but the 'features' she has left behind will be a reminder (until I can repair the walls, paint, replace the living room floor !!) Will miss you girlie, have a nice life ..... - I have tryed to put on a picture, but alas I could not make it work !!! can email it to someone if some kind sole would like to put it on - she is worth seeing !!!!
  8. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I do home check so if anyone needs one in this neck of the woods then please just shout.
  9. Hi Did you use to be with Daneline I am sure I have heard your name mentioned before ?
  10. Hi All I am the proud owner of the 3rd cute puppy rehomed with a great dane and JR, mmmm my vet thought it was funny too !!!!!! he is use to me walking (or rather being pulled) into the vets - I foster for a great dane rescue so to see one so little was to them very amusing !! I promise to put some pictures up soon, JR has decided that 'Titch' is her baby and follows him every where... not that she has to walk to fast to catch him up !! Mouse the great dane can't decide at the moment if she is supose to play with him, eat him or ignore him !! only JOKING at the eating part, she is the most gentle great dane - Mouse gave him a wash which was quite a sight ... he needed a rub down with a towel after !! My 6 year old son is so in love, I made a joke before Titch came that we would have to be careful that Mouse didnt open her mouth and him think it was a tunnel and run in. I collected Titch on Sunday and walked thru the door he ran to the draw to get some cellotape to put round Mouse's mouth as he was scared that she would swallow him !! Today he is spending his own money on buying Titch a new bed... must be love .... Thank you Cher for trusting me with your baby .... what have you done !!!!
  11. Hi, I feel for you it is very upsetting when a dog is in pain. Mr great dane ruptured her cruciate ligament last year, we were offered 2 different operations the 'usual way' tie back or TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomoy !!! I opted for the TPLO as having done alot of research in 'large' breed dogs the usual tie back can often snap again, she was very sore for 2 days, but then back up on her feet - the hardest thing was trying to restrict her !! Good luck.
