  1. Morning all :GroupHug: for those who have lost a part of themselves yet found an angel Ellie is yodelling in the hallway at invisible passers-by. The postman hasn't been yet - as soon as he's been barked at she'll settle down but until then, we have 'ARRRrrrrOooooOOooOoOO' HRH is of course behaving himself (keeping a low profile) and dozing (plotting) on the sofa I has a logo and I has a Facebook page (search for Happy Paws Canine Daycare) and I has a website - and on Friday I will have business cards, marketing cards, headed paper and pens If anyone would like to link to the website please PM me I was toying with the idea of getting some of those car magnets - has anyone ever used them before? Are they any good? I'd be scared of pootling down the motorway and having them fly off at 65mph...
  2. Morning all Oh Patchy Some people deserve to be strung up, don't they? WTG Nog! I am still bouncing around like a hyperactive spidermonkey got me advertising stuff sorted, trying to keep away from ordering a metric ton of pens with the business name and logo on Must go and sort insurance out - car insurance will need topping up and exact quotes for the sitting and walking side of it. Ooh I'm being all grown up talking about insurance....
  3. Well.... DEA advisorbloke said it was a great idea, my business plan and proposition were amazing, he will action some monies for advertising costs and insurance and said that gradually increasing my hours to a manageable level was the way to go, and he would fully support me as much as possible Onbe is somewhat chuffed Thanks for everyones' positive thoughts - they definitely helped! I have done the Facebook page - Happy Paws Canine Daycare if anyone would like to become a fan or link from a rescue or cause (modlies please remove if thats not allowed) I've not heard of them - will have a Google Oh my he's gorgeous!
  4. Thanks for all the good wishes Thanks Is it 11th April? Will see what OH is working. :ohmy:Thats my new business venture what I am putting to the Jobcentre today to see if I can get funding. You mindreading It will be looking after peoples' pets in their own home while they are at work - a dog-wee-break-provider I am absolutely bricking it - appointment is at 4pm. In theory it should work - I've had a couple of people look through the business proposition and business plan, it all looks OK, and the huge bonus being I can work as much or as little as I'm comfortable with. RMF - Neighbour has put a green tarp on her washing line. Scooby has decided it is a big scary alien and must be screamed at until it goes away.
  5. Hello all Too much sad floating around the Refuge at the moment Tomorrow is D-Day - I am sick and tired of being jobless, no-one seems to want to employ a 'disabled' person who only knows how to do kennel stuff and marquee stuff but can't physically do that anymore. I can't get a voluntary role in any of the rescue centres near me. I can't even get a work experience placement with the local dog warden They are interested but take one look at the stick and run a mile. So sod the lot of 'em - I have done some research, spent all week thinking, typing, thinking and typing some more, then more research, and have an A4 folder full of blurb, business plans, charts, profits and loss forecasts, start-up costs and other important-looking stuff to present to my bloke at the Jobcentre tomorrow in the hope I can get some sort of funding to start my own business, and that I can do it part-time and get tax credits or something as I won't be earning proper money until it all kicks off, and even then it won't be a lot. *breathes* But if I can do it I will be able to hold my head up high and tell all the people who thought I would never be able to work again to stick it up their bums
  6. And so from a shining light, A new angel watches us tonight I'm so sorry
  7. Lots of positive thoughts and reiki being sent for Tess
  8. I went for a walk to the shops and back as I ran out of Smirf-beer (WKD Blue ) and there be a fonny noyz rollin' aroond Trowbridge way....it sounds like a mid-range plane engine. I don't know what it is. Its annoying. I can't hear it indoors though, and when I was walking I could pinoint roughly where it was coming from but unless a cow is having a very long, continuous fart into a drainage pipe I don't know what it is....
  9. Morning all. Marian - so sorry Alex - good luck Normality has resumed - I am being ignored, every time I move the dogs are immediately under my feet, and I have a learning journal to complete that I'm finding rather hard work.
  10. Afternoon all to all who would like them RMF - I have a craving for a jacket spud and cheese. Not allowed cheese so it will have to be beans and maybe some fake chicken I am getting on much better with a certain person. Its good I think they are really making an effort to be pleasant :)Its a much nicer atmosphere to be in.
  11. Afternoon all My week of peace and not having to worry about what I am doing has ended. The OHs' parents have returned from holiday. I spent last week cleaning when I wanted, burning incence sticks when I wanted, lighting candles, meditating in the front room without interuption and playing my djembe whenever I wanted, and doing my washing every day and leaving it on the radiators so the house smelt like clean laundry The first thing that was said to me was why didn't I do their washing as well as mine? I don't go snooping in other peoples' bedrooms so I didn't know any needed doing. I explained this and that seemed to suffice.
  12. So sorry to hear about Keira Take your time
  13. Sounds nummy Beats my beans on toast WTG Snow thats great They are quite fiddleable - its quite amusing if male friends come over. They can't help themselves but pick one up and start playing with their mane/tail
  14. Here. That's nowhere near all off them sorry to hear your daughter has developed it too, but at least you can both be empathetic with each other now! Was kind of hoping OH and I could go out for a drink but he's just rang me and said he won't be back for a bit (he was supposed to be doing 7-5) as he has to wait for his team leader to get him a form to sign. All well and good but one of the other staff didn't bother turning up so OH been working his butt off all day (working a large Lloyds Bar kitchen on his own on the busiest lunchtime of the week) and is now uber-tired They keep dropping him in it like this
  15. The problem with Scooby and tomato sauce is, well, he tries to lick it all off, and it never rinses out completely so you have a pink dog I have ordered some of the Pet Head Poof stuff, and will let you all know how I get on
  16. I can sympathise - I got about two hours slepp last nast because of my damn FM. Its only bearable when I'm walking about at the moment, but when I'm tired I fall over more, so at the moment I'm trying to find a balance. Literally. Just got back from pootling (very slowly) round our local bootsale - was a bit rubbish, all antiques dealers and fruit and veg dealers and hardware dealers. Still I managed to get a new bed for the car for HRH, and also a small horrendous plastic thing wot I does collect.
  17. My Farmville won't work anymore Just takes forever to load then crashes the computer. It may be something to do with the hundreds of sheep I have....
  18. She's amazing, isn't she? To be able to have that emotion in your work that you have your entire audience in tears...
  19. Thats brilliant, thankyou I thought it said 'scented like Asian Pearl' and was wondering what the heck that smelt like, when I read it again it actually says 'Asian Pear' Has anyone else used this at all?
  20. Another skeptic here - however I do have an avid interest! I have seen and heard things that can and can't be explained. Would love to do a workshop to understand a bit more.
  21. Mueh. Why can't I hurt when I don't have stuffs to do? Or when I don't feel the need to hide in the shed all day .... Done a couple of cages, and HRH came and sat with me, but he now wants to go back outside again. Or sit on my lap. But he stinks of fox crap so he is NOT sitting on me.
  22. Unfortunately baby-wipes don't quite do it - he gets hosed down when he's rolled so the chunks are gone but the smell remains, even after being brushed and sprayed with wooftery-scented doggy deo. I can't be bathing him every day so need a dry or foam shampoo.
  23. Scooby has just got back with his run from the pack and as usual is the only dog to have found all the fox poo and rolled in it. He goes out with my OH's Dad and our neighbour and all their dogs every Saturday and Sunday morning, and 90% of the time he will roll in something disgusting. He rarely rolls when I take him out though - but to be fair when I take him its usually only him and me. At the moment I am using Wahl Smart Groom foam shampoo, which isn't brilliant, and then topping off with whatever doggy deospray is handy. Can anyone recommend me a dry/foam shampoo that I can use on a fairly regular basis that has good de-stinking properties?
  24. Morning. Cherry - hope its nothing serious. Dogs have gone out for a run with OH's Dad, everyone else is asleep still apart from me and the cat who is staring at the skinks' tank like its a vending machine
