It's very warm here and I was melting in my jeans. I forgot to shave my legs or bring a razor...so will be making a pharmacy stop at some point!! Am on the train to Lyon. Yay for Eurostar. I booked standard premier and they have fed and watered me!! Oddly the standard premier was cheaper than standard when I booked. Though not cheap, cheap to get on a train in London and get off in Lyon is pretty awesome I think!

Sorry to hear that Alex. Good-ish news the people who had the dog have withdrawn their offer on the flat. Sad that the committee are so intolerant but pleased that they also put their pets first.

I agree Jazz. No one knows their life plan so do what makes you happy. It's hot and toasty in Romania but very pretty even if I have the wrong clothes totally! Makes me realise I do need some proper summer clothes.

Sadly I was already through security by the time he told me. Great advice Jayne, have just bought some headphones so will plug them in and pretend to listen to something. Will definitely be telling him porkies in the future on seat number. Window and aisle would be annoying, but he chose to take the empty middle seat so right next to me...I know I am probably irrational about it, but it's just really annoyed me. We have worked together for over a year and travelled lots together. So why today...

Argh, my colleague and I have always agreed not to sit next to each other on the flight. Twatfeatures has for some reason decided on this flight to change his seat next to mine. I am probably very unreasonably cross, but I really need quiet time and when travelling for work I get very little of that so at least I can rely on the flight time to gather my thoughts and plan / reflect. I told him, I am never telling him my seat number again to avoid this!

Sorry to hear you went through that Owl, not needed and does more harm than good to all concerned. Hope you have recovered from it. I am going to Romania tomorrow, with work. I might get to meet a lady I *know* through Facebook who does lots of rescue and TNR over there. It is rainy today, but we put our fence panel up yesterday for our patio! Which is nearly complete 😄 xxx

I have just ordered a pet cooling may for butter I hope he likes it rather than lying on top of me as a long haired, large black cat is rather suffocating! I think he is just trying to show me what it's like to have a big fur coat! Poor thing x

Owl that's terrible and hope he heals well and quickly and his assailant gets a deserved outcome. And also thank you to him for giving the guy his litter back. I always want to do this but am scared of the repercussions. So I applaud his actions xxx It has been up to 39 on our thermometer today and the poor thick long haired black cats have been searching out their shady areas. Cocoas is back in our wash basket...at least it's the dirty clothes he likes to sleep amongst!! Hope you can find a dog you like and that is suitable for your household Jazz xx

Owl, with regards to your early post about someone sharing ignorant Facebook post. This was shared today by someone I know... I am British I am white I am proud I do not accept Islam I do not accept immigration I do not accept multiculturalism I do not accept our membership to the EU But I am not racist I am a British citizen, I want my country back. I can't express my anger at this; he is married to my cousin...a South African...and he doesn't think that he is wrong to think this. Both her parents live in South Africa... Some people are so stupid I just can't comprehend it...

Thank you Yantan. I'll try that. I don't Alex. I am not keen on eye masks as they seem to heighten my hearing and I don't like ear plugs. I woke again at 2:30 but have managed an hour of dozing on the sofa. It's a while since I had problems sleeping and I wouldn't mind it if I woke feeling wide awake but I am not. Especially after mixing mortar and laying slabs yesterday, I really thought I would sleep well! Fingers crossed for a heat wave though, just have to do the edging and put a new fence panel and post up. It's not perfect but it's perfect for us!!

I am broken, Ben is more broken. We have laid the concrete base for the patio. I don't know why I thought us doing this was a good idea!! When the base dries its the sand or sand and cement mix next, then the slabs and grout. Then we'll have somewhere to sit outside again. It better be sunny from now on or I'll be sitting out there in the rain! Sorry for lost dogs, it's a horrible feeling xxx
