  1. Thanks everyone for the good wishes about Lyra It's been a difficult week all round. Basically we need to be out of here by 30th July and we have nowhere to go. B&^%$£"d husband's idea of a solution involves both me and his current girlfriend, whose occupation some of you are aware of, it's not nice, telling lies in cahoots to rent my son and I a house. This does not sit well with me, basically I was appalled and my son was completely disgusted and pointed out it was lies that had got us all into this mess in the first place. But there is one other small problem, b!£&^$d husband does not have any money for a deposit or rent up front and it'll be a house which will not take animals although according to him this is not a problem because once you're in 'no one cares'. Yeah right. So you can see what kind of person I'm dealing with. I have no faith in him whatsoever and the stress is not doing my son and me any good to say the least. I am so sorry to be a whinger but it helps me to talk about it and I know people here are caring, so thanks. For all that need them, I know it's not just us having a tough time at the mo.
  2. As Claire said, some very sad news this morning, Lyra cat was hit by a car and killed, I'm sure it was instant and that she didn't suffer. Everyone here completely devastated. Our lovely neighbour came and told us, thankfully, so we could bring her home and bury her. Repossession hearing for the house this afternoon as well.
  3. I spoke to the council today, they have no duty to rehouse me because I don't have children under 16, the only way to get a room in a hostel as an emergency is if you have health or mental health issues. Husband was meant to turn up at 5, he didn't and is now not answering his phone.
  4. I actually did that some time ago, didn't feel safe or comfortable with the idea he could get in, it's kind of a complicated situation, the house is his but he hasn't been paying the mortgage for months so if it doesn't get sold it'll be repossessed, in fact there is a court hearing on monday.
  5. back on broadband now which is better. Sorry I can't do multiple quotes but thanks everyone I haven't any family, which is pretty scary in itself especially when the person you thought was your family for 25 yrs has turned into the devil incarnate with a massive attitude problem. I do have a solicitor for the divorce but am on legal aid so her hands are pretty tied as to what she can actually do for me. She can't even go any further with the financial side of things without referring us to mediation and the earliest appointment for that is July 11th. House could be sold and he could have done a bunk with the money way before then. Aforementioned devil is coming round to 'talk' to us today so we'll see what he has to say. Suspect it won't be anything constructive or reassuring.
  6. Sorry not been keeping up as been having internet problems. B*st*rd husband wants to exchange contracts on this house and complete in 3 weeks and wants us out. He is refusing to even give me any money for food for me or the animals, just shrugs and says he has none. Looks like we will be homeless then.
  7. Definately everything happens for a reason and nothing happens that is not meant to happen.
  8. Have posted some recent pics of Eugene and Lyra in cats and other animals for Claire and anyone else who wants a look
  9. yes Harry is a little terrier, very gobby (as those who've met him know) but sensitive all the same, I do have a DAP diffuser, thanks for reminding me, I'll plug it in and give it a go. Jo
  10. Some success with doctor after much pestering...if I can provide them with birth and marriage certificates and change of name deed poll document they 'may' be able to work out who I am. No kidding!!! Thanks everyone for the help May however need doctor sooner rather than later, Harry is obviously picking up on the stresses here and is now so clingy he won't let me out of his sight he is literally glued to my feet whatever I am doing and in danger of either tripping me up or getting hurt himself
  11. because I need to prove I actually have lived in the UK for the past 12 months.
  12. I can't register with a doctor because I can't prove where I've been living for the past year Anyone work at a surgery and know what to do in this situation?
  13. know exactly how you feel there Mine now is not talking to either me (well fair enough) or his son. Now what's he done to deserve that? Specially as his father's last communication to him was 'let's talk' or words to that effect.
  14. Just caught up and wanted to say thanks to everyone for the kind and thoughtful comments, am thinking way too much to put it all down here but agree with everything. He hasn't ground me down, the opposite I think actually. Sarah I won't forget the chilli powder or some kind of equivalent (don't want to get that close really!) Thanks for the nice photo of Chris and dogs too sorry shouldn't laugh, welcome to my world, I get texts and calls from my husband's new mrs as you know, moaning about his behaviour usually!!! You couldn't make it up.
  15. I know I don't post much but I do read often and try and keep up with everyone, been trying to decide if to mention anything or not but what the hell, here goes, bear with me: On new yr's day my husband of 23 yrs did a bunk due to his antics having been uncovered, he didn't even stick around for 5 minutes to face the music, drove off blind drunk (and he's not been able to have a proper conversation about it since even) I'd like to think he was embarrassed but expect he's probably incapable of such an emotion. I won't go into what he'd been up to but it was all very unsavoury and totally unforgiveable. Anyway I'm now divorcing him so that's that but he's been behaving like a complete child for the past 5 or so months, has no compassion for his family, me, our son and the dogs and cats. In nearly 6 months he's not phoned even once off his own back and has never once asked how we are or if we need anything. I've no income and getting money from him for food even is like getting blood out of a stone, he won't pay the bills and hasn't been paying the mortgage, the house is now being sold (if it doesn't get repossessed first) the idea was he'd buy somewhere smaller for us to live in but now he's not even going to do that so the upshot of it all is we are facing being homeless and having nowhere to take the animals. My son is 21 and works but is on a low wage and there's not much chance of finding anywhere to rent with 3 dogs and 3 cats even if we could afford it, so we're desperately worried, above all about the animals. He treats his son like dirt, has just dropped him overnight and I can't deal with that no matter how I try. I've no family , husbands family haven't contacted me or my son. We've found out who our friends are definately. (And to those people )This isn't meant to be a whinge, and I know there are no real answers, just wanted to get it all off my chest really.
  16. galgos. Beautiful and very lucky.
  17. I can confirm she is indeed, and speaking as someone who has seen a lot of greyhounds, very very particularly lovely and yep she has a bottom thing going on. On the walls But she will get well soon.
  18. Aaaaaaw they are both gorgeous. Bug doesn't look gormless like his brother he's very handsome.
  19. They're now home, fine and rampaging around, Eugene has been in the bath as the water was running out due to his water fixation. He insisted on driving home from the vets. (don't worry he's only allowed to 'drive' when car is parked )
  20. don't usually post in here but that made me My son wears his trousers like that. my sad RMF is that my dog Daisy had to be pts yesterday she was 14 and she was a star. Daisy
