  1. Thinking of you Suzeanna Hope all goes well for Dex
  2. Henry cat . We've got a grey tabby tom cat coming around for food, his owners have had a new baby and thrown the cat out as 'theres no room for him'. Hes very nervous but has started using our dog flap and sometimes pees..lovely!! However last night i left him in when i heard him as we had force 11 winds, severe flooding etc and i'm too soft to insist he went out lol. The idea is to establish a feeding routine then cat trap him. Izzie cant do much these days, only nearly 6 and has arthritis in hips so too much exercise and shes in pain for days, we dont get to see her best friend Archie a giant schnauzer much as Iz cant cope with the rough play they love but i was shocked the other day to find Archie has advanced leukemia and only has 1 to 2 months left. Hes only the same age as Izzie Archie [Yantans boy] be good
  3. After having Abbie cat pts in september i went straight into work bawling and spent rest of day doing so!! Ab's was only 5 but tumour meant she was losing use of her back legs. Last week work had a wailing call from me saying i'd be late in as was on way to vets with Rosie, this time they rang around my afternoon jobs warning them what state i'd likely be in lol. Suzeanna thats lovely
  4. Hi everyone, not around much due to work but lurk occasionally. Snow, so sorry over you losing Nog Over the last 14 months i have lost 3 cats to tumours, little Rosie was just a week ago so i know a bit of how you feel.
  5. I go to the gymn 5 days a week now.....i'm the cleaner but it still counts doesnt it lol!!
  6. Sophie, no idea if this help or if you've even tried it but have you thought of bowen therapy. I've suffered migraines for ages , almost daily and been in hospital for severe one. Recently a friend tried Bowen on me and said there was a problem with my neck. Until she made me go through various neck movements i'd never realised how limited or painful my neck was, shes done 3 sessions and the migraines have eased dramatically so they were obviously liked in with my neck. Dont get me wrong its not a complete cure but instead of being dosed up daily with painkillers i only need them once or twice a fortnight. The relief is wonderful!
  7. Alex , you're not self absorbed but heartbroken. After i read your news on Max i hugged my Izzie and just cried. Its devastating to lose them and nothing makes sense. dont be hard on yourself we all understand. No laughing as others have done..i've just been diagnosed with gout!!
  8. I agree with all Sam has said. I know you said you cant understand why he went downhill so quickly but it appears that what these tumours can do Hoppy my stable cat was only slightly off colour before he had to be pts. Nothing obvious just occasionally being sick and a bit quieter than normal bit nothing glaringly obvious in fact with a few little problems i thought he had dementia starting but he seemed to pick up and was back to normal. The night before he died he was purring away ate his tea etc but by morning was collapsed and in severe pain and that was it.The vets could feel a mass in his tummy and said very often theres no signs till the tumour just 'goes'. I couldnt believe that within less than 12hrs my boy had gone from normal to being pts , it gutted me. Loads of love and hugs sent xx
  9. Oh Alex i'm so bloody sorry love and hugs sent xx
  10. You joke about the movie but have you thought of writing a book about it all, i reckon film rights would be snapped up!! Good Luck to you all xx
  11. Thank you Suzeanna yes it was seperate teachers for the incidents. The english teacher is a cow to be honest, just recently they had Alan Titmarsh visit the school. The english teacher was supposed to let jodie and the rest of that tutor group out of the lesson to meet and talk to Alan but she refused to let them out so they had to do lessons whilst the rest of the tutor group got to meet him. I know Jodies primary school teacher would be devastated at the way shes been treated and how her confidence has hit an all time low. Jodie is eating, never a great deal but shes always been like that, washing etc is normal. She hasnt started her periods yer but her hormones are all over the place which doesnt help! With Jodies friend i cant do much as she is under social worker care and cant do anything out of school without us being vetted etc, i think thats why that get on so well as they're both 'odd ones out' in a sense.
  12. Thanks so much, will go look at websites now
  13. Thanks Gooster I dont think outside interests are much good atm just tonight shes told me she doesnt want to go to our horses any more she'd rather stay at home which has shocked all that know her and completely gobsmacked me. I'm wondering if a bit of depression is creeping in, shes just shutting down on everything wont come out with Izzie our dog either. If she could hibernate she would She seems to have labelled herself 'useless' and has given up. To be honest i'm in over my head and dont know what to do.She also has a problem in crowded places which i think is getting worse. I'd happily move her to a new school if thats best.
  14. Hi , looking for some advice over Jodie my 12 yr old daughter.Firstly Jodie doesnt take well to change she likes things to plod on as per usual. She started high school in september and got bullied by a girl we knew which got sorted pretty quick although the girl still causes some aggro. Lovely and sweet in front of people then a bitch when no ones there.Jodie is very much like me a bit of a loner preferring her own company but is now down to one friend as a different girl who is the popular one with followers has said Jodies not nice and isnt to be included with them. Jodie is devastated but wont stand up for herself and is literally hiding away. She wont each lunch at school prefering to stay in the library, shes dropped out of clubs etc so she doesn't get 'humiliated'. She struggles with maths and just before they broke up for christmas all her maths class were awarded effort certificates..all apart from Jodie. This was done in front of the rest of school leaving Jodie devastated again even though her teacher has told me recently that she was pleased with Jodies progress. This obviously led to one kid saying she didnt get a certificate as she was too thick which Jodies now convinced she is. Shes been off school a bit with what i'm sure is stress related problems, is very tearful etc. When she went back after a few days off she asked her english teacher for her homework and got told if she couldnt be bothered to be at school then her teacher couldnt be bothered to give her the work and she'd have to ask others what to do.A shitty letter from me soon sorted that out lol! What the hell do i do? i alternate between tears or being furious at the moment. I've obviously got to approach the school about this but how to i tackle it without bawling or wanting to scream at them. Its gutting seeing Jodie lose all confidence, just today i've had to put up with a screaming tantrum from her then he bawling her eyes out because shes 'stupid and thick with no friends'. Basically the schools policy is we dont have bullying because we dont allow it. Anybody been through this and can give me some constructive ideas on how to go through this please?
  15. According to the report i read the shooters were 2 sons of one of the teachers. She was killed , one of the sons is dead the other arrested. Their father has also been discovered dead at home.
  16. I agree that interviewer was terrible. The shootings in a Connecticut school have shocked me terribly. They're little kids why do that to them and their teachers, i just dont understand. So many dead and the others completely traumatised, so bloody sad
  17. Nephews ok phew!, been checked out and now has either knee support or bandaged cant remember which as my dad took him. Hes got to completely rest leg for a few days, got some strong painkillers and goes back for a check up monday to see how swelling if going down etc. Anyone want a cat????? Bloody Abbie somehow managed to injure side of her neck several months ago and it took about 5 weeks to heal as she managed to get bandages off and couldnt wear buster collar as it sat right on wound. Even the vets were getting frustrated with her! Anyway her hair has grown back and tonight shes walked in with identical injury in identical place all bloody and hurting. I'm gonna scream just not sure whether to do it before of after i've wrung her neck [avioding the injured bit of course lol]!!!! Hugs for all who need them
  18. I am on a massive rant today!!!! On monday my nephew [age 15] was injured playing football at school during pe. His knee is massively swollen with a large lump apparently and he cant walk on it [hes using a pair of crutches i had] and neither bloody parent has taken him to doctors/a+e. He was staying with his dad who told him it couldnt be that bad but kept him off school. My sister has the boys now and all shes doing is shouting what a useless father her ex is and how bad her son is but has she had him seen.. no and shes sent him to school!!!!!!!!! My dad is picking him up later so we've conspired on this and if nephews knee is bad we're taking him straight up a+e. I'm furious over this as my nephew doesnt admit pain easily so if hes been crying over it then its bad. Those two are so bloody ignorant i want to smack their heads together and kick their arses, obviously arging things out is more important to them..........and breathe.....sorry for rant!! Hope Trudys appointment goes well.
  19. Gooster, hope you didnt say why it was so easy for you, let them think you're just naturally wonderful at it. As for pie and cake, i think you deserved the reward!! My mum and stepdad live in France..will they notice xmas day that their pressies are running a little late due to the fact i've just realised i've forgotten to post the parcel. Oops lol!!
  20. Tons of hugs Suzeanna [sorry for some reason my smileys/emoctions aren't working any more]
  21. Wow love the dress! Over here fatal road accidents are rare and we've just had 2 in under a week. Last thursday a seven year old was killed and just this morning a 'young man' has also died. Really feel like crying for the families , its so devastating. The little girl was my Jodies friend sister, Jodie was upset as the sister was still sent to school the next day and just cried all day.A couple of times she dozed off and the teachers told them to leave her and let her sleep but it really upset Jodie seeing her friend like that.
