Rycoft Sunday here we come

I have a black and white grumpy beast - who doesnt do flyball because she expects everyone to sit quite in a corner and be civilised I have a white and black lurcher puppy - who if she isnt asleep shes bouncing at people for snuggles then falls asleep while snuggling and Mad Meggi Moo who is just a bit of a muppet really

this is quite bizare you have a huge chocci beast an orange beast and i have a mini beast WOW thats a lot of scarry beasties

your big beast is like 10 times the size of my mini beast

am rather exited about it all now hoping we can get there now hubby finnishes work 6am Sat morning and starts again at 10pm Sat night till 6am Sunday morning - all being well he can swop the sat night shift but we shall see

well you can all have a guess as to what midget dog is im not really bothered if anyone asks i tell them he is a mixiblob which gets them thinking

i used the CJS calm down on Meggie when we first got her and it was really good for her BUT one of them broke into the pack and uhhh ate almost 3/4 of a tub - i never got round to getting anymore - may get the CJS stuff im sure he will eat it if i shove it on some liver ive been running him every other turn if you get what i mean and behind other dogs to just help get him going a bit am looking forward to rycroft hubby is running his Meggie Moo i may run Brock we shall see how things go but all of the dogs will be coming anyway so be prepared for lurcher puppy cuddles

well being only 12inches tall and very very fast then yup he will make a lovelly little height dog what i have been doing with him is spacing his runs out a bit more and getting him running in more a team format which makes him more exited we try to always end on a high note even if it means me jumping all the jumps as well Brock doesnt really bark its more an annoying little dog ear piercing YAP My dogs are all on a raw diet so theres not really much i can add - although i did think about adding one of the CJS herb suppliments to his diets (although i havent looked yet the brain wave just hit me) it really isnt lack of fitness he is one fit little dog and he is mighty fast with it - when he first runs he is making the fence and all in one stride like the big dogs

well all being well we shall be there problem being hubby works nights so we are going to try to fit a lot in a short space of time

Brockie is a very fit little dog he has walked up cumbrian mountains and can keep up with the others no problem he is 12inches to the withers and is a cross breed of some sort most probable sugestion is a BC X JRT but awners on a post card to that one the problem is at flyball training he will happily do his first few 3-5 runs perfect well quick and from the box but after that the wont touch the box and jumps the first jump then stops and looks round - we have come to the conclusion that he is getting tired these are the only signs of getting tired that he is showing as he is still YAPING at that annoying volume that only little dogs can achieve and running in little tight circles on the end of the lead so any sugestions as to getting him flyball fit or how to enourage him after his brill runs here are some piccis so you can understand what i mean about him *the child has grown the dog has not*

We are getting ready for our first starters compertition We are hopefully going to Rycroft on the 8th July and Mottram (15th ?) Hope to see some of you there We will have Meggi Moo a black lab X collie who really really loves her flyball - its really helping to bring her out of her shell - she never really liked people at all but shes coming a long way I will also have Brockie - a black and white midget - you cant miss him I may also have Cleo a grumpy black and white BC and Flyte a white and black lurcher puppy So really you cant miss us We run with the Red Rose Rocket teams - so all of you who were at Blackpool you prob saw me there Helen

got my funky target stick - so i had to have a play i spent ages sat on the floor with Cleo - randomlly clicking and treating just to get her used to what the clicker was all about got out my little target sticki thingi - struggled to find a way to hold funky sticki thing - clicker and yummys once i had worked it all out Cleo thought my brand new colourfull exiting target stick was sooooooo dull and just wasnt intrested in it (GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) so i pushed a load of treats in it and sort of moved it about a bit - this got her attention and she sniffed it (C&T) then she stared at me for ages so wiggled stick again got a sniff (C&T) after that she was more intrested in the stick she would offer the behaviour about 4/5 times then look at me like i was a nutter so i moved the stick again and got the behaviour again - after a few mins she started offering the behaviour quite regularlly - didnt start using a cue word YET because i thought we had done quite well for 1 quite short session. Cleo isnt really into training - with her she has to know what she is doing is right and needs a lot of praise along the way 2 things that i think i got wrong was - i had the wrong treats - because we had a high rate of C&Ting going on she didnt have time to chew - got a tube of cheese spread which may have been easier however im not sure how i can co-ordinate that quick enough along side the stick and clicker as well secondlly - i dont like the noise of my clicker !!! i dont think its loud enough for me - i have one of those I Click thingis and also one of those multi-clickers i find the I click to quiet but easy to use and perfect size and the mulit-clicker to bulky theres no way i can use that and co-ordinate everything else as well. The other problem i have is motivation and time - at the moment im really struggling to find the motivation to do anything therefore i am not making the time to train either - i promised myself yesturday that i would have a short training session with Cleo, Meg and Brock only getting round to doing Cleo - THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH HELEN any tips

owwwwwww yeh can i justify paying that when i can make something that does the job just as well ?

they only have the ones with balls on the end ive seen them at agility shows with a colourfull ballie wiggly thing that i want

ohh go on then Helen Cleo 6, Meg 2, Brock 1, Flyte baby (all collie types) can do b***r all so far with clicker training read lots about it and keep meaning to get going but never seem to my main resevations about are when i first bought a clicker i decided i was going to go to the field where its quite and have a play about - i was walking down the cannal reading the little booklet i got with my clicker and dropped the clicker in the canal - ive always seen this as an omen that clicker training is not for me and when i have previouslly played about with a clicker with my older dog Cleo she just kind of looks at me with a p**s off will you look shes very stuborn and very very grumpy Brock thought it was great fun and Meg is just to stupid

i have a question where can i get a really really nice target stick with one of those coloured blobby things on - im terrible - i have a lovelly short garden cane i have prepared - painted the end white and even made a ribbon handle BUT i always want a nice fancy one !!!
