its getting like that with Meg she loves her flyball but keeps getting dogs run at her - she was badlly attacked at Mottram since then shes been such hard work

Brockie is all yours - will send him first class post in a padded bag - you will know when he has arrived because it will be the little bag making tons of noise

we were running Meg out of netting at training and she was doing really well then at Mottram she was attacked just at the end of the lane - after that she wouldnt run at all - so we started from scratch run backs in netting etc and she was just starting to have the ends of the netting moved then last night - a dog was up the lane as she was running back - stopped dead - and wouldnt run again as for Brock i just want to scream - unfortunate thing is if you shout "FU*K OFF" at him he does his run perfect - now ive tried UK OFF and other things that sound like it but it just doesnt work - you have to swear at him

Brock is the most inconsistant dog on the face of the planet - i have to get a diffrent person to run him nearlly every run to keep his intrest up - some times he is amazing really quick and consistant and others hes just not intrested in the slightest and Meg has had another blow to her confidence and so we have to start from scratch again and Flyte has decided again that balls are boring so all in all its going poo and feeling really fed up with flyball at the mo

Our lurcher can do the running bit do the box bit do the jumps etc etc even without the netting BUT can she carry a ball for more than half a step ? can she poo eck as like we will get there in the end - shes now picking a ball up - spitting it out again straight afterwards but at least shes now picking it up

i like the theory Jayne what about they feed lots of colourings and preservatives so there dogs are totally hyper i dont know really how they can get them going so fast i wonder if they are much more competetive and lost the element of fun ?

you sound like me I have an old collie who eyeballs for britain ive been trying to get her to run in a team format but the dog running towards her is just to much fun to eyeball if she was on her own she would be perfect ive come to the conclusion that shes almost 8 so it doesnt really matter i only took her to training for a bit of something to do

im really pleased with that especailly haveing a small dog (although he isnt slow)

ive lost mine

shes fine in herself BUT her confidence at flyball has totally gone she was coming out of her lane and the dog who was running the next leg attacked her Meg isnt the most overlly confident dog in the world so its set her back a LOT will start on those and let you know thankyou

After Megs attack at Mortram she hasnt been the same at flyball at all she didnt run at Chomolonly (spelling no idea) castle - she had a major panic and now shes going lovelly to the box - getting her ballie and staying with Jeff at the box we swopped dogs last night so i was running her instead of matt - and she ran a little better i think its because im far more mental than he is and jump about and make tons of fuss its such a shame as she was running lovelly and getting quicker all the time she had been running out of netting at training Brockie on the other hand seems to have really just clicked into place and he is running more consistantly than ever before

will add the ones we think we are going to (just not that organised yet)

she picked it up and more than once she will now go a few steps carrying the ballie then she drops it again but what an improvment on before

this prob isnt going to help at all BUT when Brock does flyball he makes sooooooooooooooooo much noise and its just because he is so exited by the whole situation he does know quite so i can shut him up i have found if i shut him up, take him away from the ring etc he does his runs really flat (well flat for him) if i let him make his noise hes seems to enjoy himself more

ive come to the conclusion that to get Brock to run well i need a diffrent person for each leg he runs great for a diffrent person each time and we have Flyte picking up a tennis ball - yes shes spiting it back out but at least shes getting the ball the dog actually ran at her when she was well away from the lane - little git - it did it to Brock as well who gave it the biggest gob full

she was doing fine until another dog charged at her on her run back then that was it - confidence all gone again BUT on a plus Brock was consistant all night
