  1. We own a male EBT who is 9 months old and we feel that maybe he would be better in a new home.He has always been very interested in our cats despite having lived with them since he was 8 weeks old,and as he has got bigger and older the interest has become more difficult to control. We have always hoped that one day he would just reach the stage where he ignores them but recently he has hurt one of them He is a tricolour (photo attached) fully vaccinated, microchipped and castrated. He is quite good on lead, more of a plodder than a puller and has decent recall (usually). He sits beautifully for a treat lol!He absolutely loves other dogs and would be happy with a canine pal - my sister has a westie boy and he plays with him without any aggression at all.He also loves children but because of his size can be a bit too much for pre -teens.he weighs about 28kg. He is crate trained and house trained but he will chew if left unattended. His name is Dexter,he is KC registered also.He eats anything! His main diet here is kibble/tinned food. Can't think of anything else at the moment but would be happy to answer any questions. We live in Stourbridge,West midlands.
  2. Just over 12 months ago I took on a new foster from Warrington. An elderly, one eyed Yorkie girl who was vastly obese.Someone said she looked like a little dumpling so we named the poor soul Apple She settled in quickly enough but it was obvious she was not going to be easy to rehome.Firstly she was 'selectively house trained' and secondly she hated any sort of physical contact and would wriggle wildly and complain loudly if anyone tried to hold her for more than 5 seconds She was not aggressive with us or the other animals but rather assertive - pushing her way to the front of the queue like a bossy old lady at a supermarket checkout. She never asked for cuddles or fuss and she is the only dog I have ever had who didn't get excited when she saw you after you'd been out or first thing in the morning. As long as she had her bed and her food she was happy. So she never left and I became a failed fosterer Her lack of vision never caused any problems but about a month ago her remaining eye became runny and sore.Several trips to the vet followed but her socket started to swell and her eye bulged out.Sadly yesterday we received the diagnosis of a tumour so we decided to let her go. I feel strange typing this as I'm not crying or particularly sad. It's not that I didn't love her,I did and I'd like to think that in her own way she loved me back. It's just that somehow I think that if the funny old stick had been a human she wouldn't have had time for tears or sadness, she would have thought they were for the whingers. She would just have got on with things in her own inimitable way. So I'll just say cheerio old girl and thanks for being you
