  1. Yes that's the one - Thank You Diane - you are a mine of information. (Do you know any isolated paddocks btw?)
  2. It was something about for the delight of the morsel of food an animal gave up the sun, the air, the sky etc. Shame on me I cannot remember who had the quote. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
  3. It's a 'chugachug' not a chugalug. If you get the name wrong again missus, you will not be offered a lift anywhere - so there! Thank you everyone for giving BB/M/F such a warm welcome.
  4. This is William Boyce Wardley aka BillyBoy aka (at the moment) Marcus. He also seems to like the name Fred! He is around 3 years old - very young compared to usual for us but I couldn't bear to have an oldie so soon after losing Himself. He is an ex-poundie who came to us via Carole at the little dog rescue. within 24 hours it seemed as if he had always been here. Elsa doesn't take a lot of notice of him but CB loves him and they play together. KazzKitten is not impressed with him at all but JoJo loves him and they kiss each other and sometimes play together. Seems he gets on better with the boys than the girls! He loves people and other animals and is filled with the joy of life and we have the pleasure of an ickle boy in our home once again. We also think he has been with someone who had a mobility scooter as when out with Ray on his chugachug he will try to keep pace and starts to pull if Ray gets infront of him. He walks sedately alongside about 18" away from the chugachug.
  5. Glad to see you back Wendy - I was watching tele and didn't see you had posted - oops. Over to you. Nite nite
  6. Soneone told me about the special unit for this at Scotland Yard and I passed the email and info onto Wendy. Her Mum phoned them and told them what had happened and was told that they would pass the information onto Wendy's local police - Wendy had already done that, shortly after the police phoned to say someone would be round within the hour and he came while I was talking to Wendy. Lines crossed yet again? Despite all this Wendy said she would still do it again if she ever saw anything like it again - brave lady.
  7. The policeman has just come back to Wendy and he has given Wendy a recipt for the computor and tell her the cid have been trying to ring Wendy. The policeman said that they wanted to reassure Wendy that she was not at risk but that this matter could go on for years as they are investigating the website and the people on there. This was the first time the policeman had ever been involved in this sort of matter and really didn't know the right way to go about it. Wendy is feeling a tad better but is still going to seek legal advice to protect herself from future problems. Wendy send her thanks for your support.
  8. Hi everyone - I am posting this on behalf of Wendy as she cannot post herself at the moment. The police came this morning and were far from nice. Wendy downloaded the images as she was afraid the site would shut down and move elsewhere and she wanted the proof for the police - innocent but mistake. They have taken Wendy's computor and have warned her that she could be put on the sex offenders list. Eventually the policeman became less threatening after Johan came home but it could still be 6 months to a year before Wendy knows the outcome. She is in bits as you can imagine - she tried to stop something we all find dispicable and finds herself in a nightmare. She will have use of a computor as Johan has one and her family are helping her but as you can imagine she is distraught. Wendy could have just removed or locked up all her photos of Lydia but Wendy was in tears yesterday over images of children who were strangers to her and what those pictures could mean and she was determined to do whatever she could to stop these evil perverts. Wendy did not pass the website on to anyone else and Thank God she didn't as those people could now be in the same position as Wendy. I am not a Mum so cannot imagine how it feels to have your child ogled at by perverts but the thought sickens me to my core. I know that everyone will be as disgusted as I am at the treatment Wendy has received but the police are following the letter of the law and Wendy will get legal advice. I also know that you will all be sending good thoughts for Wendy and Johan, two of the nicest people it has ever been my good fortune to know and I have met many people.
  9. Thank you so very much - it was a suprise as I haen't been here for a while. I have had a nice day - Mum finally remembered it was my birthday and smiled a love smile for me. We came home to find Elsa had stolen two roast bones and had opened a brand new hills kitten food all over the floor. Again Thank you for remembering.
  10. This is a petition to curb the use of fireworks. There is a petition and posters to download. http://www.looking-glass.co.uk/campaigns/banthebang_vote.htm
  11. Congratulations to you both. I am pleased that you both have new jobs but must admit the best bits for me was that you will see more of dogs, you have a fabuloud dogwalker and your Dad is going to come over and watch tv with them a few times a week. I' d say 'you have got it made'. Wonderful news.
  12. Sam I do hope you haven't caused an 'international incident'. Dirty b*gger hope it hurt. Mum asked when she is going to Stepney to see all my net friends. She used the word net instead of curtains and I was sooo pleased as I consider that an improvement in her brain workings. She was upset. Daisy cannot remember my Dad passing over, nor his funeral so she doesn;t always accept that he is gone. She said the staff have assured her that Dad has gone when she asks why he doesn't come and see her. She said he doesn't know where you live now so how will he find me? I said I will take in a timeline of events and when she is unsure she can look at it. She also wants Dad's death certificate - Mum said if I have that I can see it and know that he has gone. Then she amazed me by remembering something that happened 40 years ago and we were laughing again as we laughed at the time. She kept saying Daddy's face was a picture. It was so wonderful to see her laugh after the tears. Ray's new love is screaming his head off - he wants out of the crate again but we have stuff to do and cannot watch him so he has to stay there for a while. His lungs work very well. Not a happy JoJo. JoJo went to vets thursday and got a clean bill of health -perfect Dale said and was swooning over JoJo.
  13. I have thought that for many years Laura and I do not have the contact with them that you do - I really admire what you do as I know I could never do it. Any room in your suitcase for me Billy? That sound lovely - hope you have a wonderful time.
  14. See a better one was waiting round the corner with your name on it. Congratulations and I hope you really enjoy your new job.
  15. Val. Sorry to hear your news and that you have been poorly again. I know it must have hit hard as I have seen the effects of knowing you can no longer earn your own living can do to someone. Let's hope that something better comes out of all this Val. Thinking of you.
  16. This might help. Sunday Parking Sundays present the best chance of finding a space in Central London, many residents embracing the chance to enjoy some fresh air outside the capital. Single yellow lines and metered spaces are all available for free parking, although you would be well advised to try and arrive before 11am for your best chance. If you park on double yellow lines at anytime in central London, you will either be clamped, towed away or fined. And make sure that the meter you park by is a free one. Read this as they have similar questions. A few repeats but good advice of what to watch for re parking bays. Linky
  17. While some parents show too much thought and stupidity choosing their childrens names - some show no thought whatsoever and children get called after soap opera or weekly serial characters. So in any given year you get hundreds of children named the same. And as has been said what about the grown man or woman bearing a name of someone who 'popular' 20/30 years ago?
  18. Sending oddles of good thoughts for your son Sarah and hope it clears up and never appears again.
  19. Hello Sparklyone, tis lovely to see you again. A new chap? Will he pass muster on here? Beautiful baby - Congrats to new parents. Ray has an appointment tomorrow - thing is the consultant he is seeing never has appointments on wednesdays. Don't think it is PALS fault - more like the hospitals booking dept. Ray's new love interest is called JoJo.
  20. We had a lovely walk on the Heath extension with Gabi and Gypsy. Beautilful autumn day the kind I love. It started to rain just as we got back into the car and then stopped again. Ray's new love. Ray had appointment made for him by PALS people as appoinyment letters were not arriving here - he had the confirmation from the PALS people - when he got to the hospital - no appointment existed.
  21. Ray is madly in love - with another male.
  22. Owwweerrrrr missus, your Mr is one of those aeroplane directions people - I love watching them. I love the specific directions - you could have just said 'he is the one with his hands behind his back'. No wonder you are proud - I have one complaint - as this is the RAF it should have been on national news.
  23. Wonderful tribute to the fallen heroes. My great uncle Michael died in WW1 and has no known grave. I have dedicated a poppy.
