Pringle ~ Friendly & Sprightly Girl - 10Yo White/black Greyhound

Recommended Posts

PRINGLE

**UPDATED: 1st OCTOBER 2012**

Pringle is a 10 year old (that’s right, 10!) greyhound girl who has spent all her life so far in kennels and really truly deserves a forever home to call her own now. She has a lovely white coat with big black splodges, and is in good health all things considered.

~ Personality ~

Though definitely and older girl in her twilight years, Pringle is still full of beans and does not at all act her age. She is very active, super friendly and loves being out exploring the world around her. Pringle has been handled kindly throughout her life, and it shows in her lovely bubbly personality. She adores people and will follow you anywhere if she knows you give out affection. We’re sure this girl is going to settle so well in to the home life, and can't wait to see her being adored and fussed by her forever family.

~ In the Home ~

Pringle has just gone into foster care this week, so we will update with her progress in the very near future. She is doing really well so far considering she’s never seen a house in all her 10 years, and it won’t be long before she’s accepted all the weird noises and sights e.g. the television, and has learned the joy of sleeping on a soft duvet.

~ Other Animals ~

Pringle is well behaved with other dogs and really enjoys their company. Despite her age she is definitely not beyond a wee game of chase with her other houndy friends. She is good with dogs of all shapes and sizes, though has not been tested with cats yet.

~ Out and About ~

Like most greyhounds, Pringle will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 30min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area once a week. Pringle will be a very low maintenance girl once she’s settled in, and will likely be more than content to snooze away during the afternoon, especially once the cold winter days come in.

~ Medical Issues ~

Pringle is going to be checked out by a vet in a week or two once she’s settled in a bit. We will update if any medical issues appear after this date.

~ Where Am I? ~

Pringle is currently being fostered in Norfolk, UK. She can be homed anywhere in the UK, but please note that you will be required to travel to her foster home to meet her.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~

Pringle is vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. Due to her age we are concerned about having her neutered, and so she may be adopted as an entire female. This means that she won’t be able to live with an intact male or interact with intact males when in season. This is something that can be discussed in more detail with us if you are interested in adopting her.

If you are interested in adopting Pringle, please visit our website’s Adoption Page: http://s300889640.websitehome.co.uk/uk/adoption.html for information and instructions on our homing procedures. If you have any further questions or problems, please feel free to email me (Tam) on [email protected]. Emails are usually replied to within 24 hrs. Thanks!

~~ KERRY GREYHOUNDS UK ~~

Kerry Greyhounds UK is a small voluntary organisation that is based in Norfolk, England. It focuses on rehoming unwanted Irish greyhounds and lurchers, as huge numbers are bred in Ireland each year and homes are few and far between. KGUK operates through a network of volunteers spaced over Ireland and the UK. We can look after approximately 30 dogs at any one time in both kennels and foster homes.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, & microchipped before being adopted (unless stated otherwise).

We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in all corners of the UK.

Our Website: http://www.kerrygreyhounds.co.uk

If interested in one of our hounds, please visit our website’s Adoption Page for information and instructions on our homing procedures. Once you have filled in and returned the application form, we will then contact you via phone or email to discuss adopting one of our hounds in more detail.

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. I (Tam) can be contacted through the following email:
