ReikiAnge
http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/press_office/pressreleases/2009/bluepeter.htm Looks like a lovely dog and how fantastic that they chose a dog from rescue. I really hope it will make viewers realise that rescue dogs are just dogs, they don't have two heads. Would be nice to think it will lead to others adopting from rescue
Rudi
I suppose the BBC couldn't really go for another purebred dog after their documentary and refusal to cover Crufts coverage. He does look like a lovely dog and, like you say, hopefully make people think about rescues!
reds
I did see that the description had to be a named cross though as opposed to simply 'cross/mixed breed' which is what he is
Happylittlegreensquirrel
I think one of the other BP dogs is also a rescue ( from the RSPCA ) hopefully all the dogs ( and cats ) they get now will be from rescues
ReikiAnge
That's cool Sam. Didn't realise that, or if I did I'd forgotten. I did see that the description had to be a named cross though as opposed to simply 'cross/mixed breed' which is what he is Does it really matter as long as he's a rescue? They haven't given him a fancy name, they've said he's a crossbreed. I think it's good to show the general public that you get all sorts of dogs, including "purebreds" in rescue as sometimes people don't realise that.
