cackie
Rusty is a solid red Kelpie boy who was rescued by the RSPCA back in June and then signed over the Kelpie Welfare for rehoming. We think Rusty is roughly 5 years old and considering he has lived most of his life living outside he has taken to home life pretty well. Rusty is neutered and fully vaccinated, he has a lovely temperament and is a loving loyal companion. He is good with other dogs and lives quite happily with many other breeds of dog in his foster home. He is crate trained and house trained. He likes children and adults and would suit an active home. Doesn't he sound PERFECT!!!! He is apart from the fact that it was recently sadly discovered that Rusty has deterioration of the retina and unfortunately will be blind in about a year. We don't believe this will stop Rusty being a wonderful pet and companion but we want to see him settled into an understanding home before this happens and preferably with another dog. cackie
A note from Jay at Kelpie Welfare Rusty is a special needs dog only due to his eye sight . As such he is a difficult dog to rehome and although Diane (his foster Mum) is a star he needs to move on .He can cope very well with a little thought by humans . I am therefore offering a long term sponsership by Kelpie Welfare to anyone taking him on , with help with vet fees etc . Also any person who takes him on ,we will as with all the dogs take him back if their situation changes this could just be restbite for a short period or whatever is required . Rusty just needs a home of his own , with or without another compainion . Surely there is a genteel home out there needs a genteel dog .
