Poor Bonnie

I'm not sure whether you mean that's the name of the kennels, who currently owns Bonnie or what your connection is but I think if you want to help her then the legal owner needs to contact rescues & ask if they can help, provide more information about her etc.

In addition to Oldies Club there are, as you may know, a number of German Shepherd Rescue sites & forums who might be able to try & help her & who have found homes for older dogs and / or poorer condition dogs than Bonnie looks but I doubt that anybody is likely to be able or willing to do anything until they receive a request and information from her owner - however much you may ask around. She's a nice looking girl & I'm sure someone would give hera chance :)

It was just that it wasn't clear (to me at least) from your original post whether Bonnie was owned by the kennels or whether the owners family had been paying for her to saty there after they died. There was no way for me to know that you worked there etc.

You could perhaps try listing her under dogs needing homes (perhaps as private rehoming - though a host will be able to confirm category), submit her details to Oldies Club web team here http://www.oldies.org.uk/submitanoldie.php and also try contacting some of the German Shepherd rescue sites or listing her on GSD forums to see whether they can help in any way, eg

The best thing that the kennels could then do for this dog would be to get in touch with rescues and get one to take her under their wing. A good rescue that will homecheck any potential homes, provide her with any vet treatment she may need leading up to adoption and that very important life time back up and support. Without this who knows what lays ahead in her future.

The kennel owners have been paying for all her food and vet bills she has been vaccinated again, she had a skin sore which has been treated, they are willing to take her back if things dont work out they wont let her go to just anyone, but i will get in touch with some of the rescues listed thanks
