kelli Posted January 25, 2008 Report Share Posted January 25, 2008 Sox - is a striking four year old English registered greyhound with four white ‘socks’ who has been with us for quite a while now. He came to us from a rescue centre who had taken him in when a trainer lost his kennelling. He has only raced 8 times so he hasn't had a long glittering career. Originally stressed at any change in the routine, Sox has now settled very well at kennels and is much more relaxed. He has never shown any unwanted behaviour while in kennels. Sox needs clear guidance and direction from his new owner and is looking for someone with experience of handling a dog who is inclined to 'take charge'. At the moment he can become rather stressed and dominant so he needs a confident and firm pack-leader who can give him all the right signals and directions right from the start. Sox will then quickly realise he can leave the stressful business of being in charge to someone else! Sox is best suited to a home without children and will probably be better as an only dog as he can be a bit bossy around other dogs. Sox has tested NOT cat friendly.
