Rehoming Standard, Miniature and Toy Poodles - occasionally other breeds in need.

Based in Lincolnshire but rehoming nationwide as long as home checks can be carried out.

Poodles are either 'in residence' with Hanna or in a foster home – Hanna never uses kennels.

All dogs are neutered and given a full health checked prior to re homing.

A donation will be requested.

Poodles in Need Rescue Adoption Policy strictly states that if for any reason you are unable to keep any dog for the duration of its life, he/she must be returned to Poodles In Need Rescue.

LISTED BELOW ARE SOME OF THE POODLES CURRENTLY NEEDING A HOME

if you phone in response to any post please tell Hanna you saw it on the The Refuge website

Occasionally, Hanna is asked to help dogs of other breeds looking for homes and will post details as available, but please feel free to call Hanna for further details and updates as required.

If you wish to be added to the list of offered homes, please contact Hanna for a re homing questionnaire

:)

Poodles in Need Rescue almost always have poodles of various ages and sizes needing permanent homes. These poodles, as well as any other dogs, are rehomed only after stringent checks; please call Hanna on the above number if you feel you have the right home on offer :)

Please remember to contact Hanna direct via the Poodles in Need number if you are interested in adopting a rescue poodle. Hanna handles all the rehoming herself. I can only help with very general enquiries.

You will need to complete and return an enquiry form before any adoption process can begin. You will also need to complete the same form to go onto Hannas waiting list for an appropriate match of dog/s if there is no suitable match at the time you contact her.

Please bear in mind that printing costs for these forms, and the postage incurred, all come out of money raised for the poodle rescue, so please only ask Hanna for a form if you are seriously considering poodle adoption and also please make sure that when asking for a form to be sent to you, that you do complete and return it.

thank you, Jay :)

The Scamp Appeal is now closed.

Despite all attempts to ease Scamp's increasing discomfort, sadly his condition was not improving and it was decided, together with our vet, that the only kind option left was to let him go. Poodles in Need wishes to sincerely thank the very generous and kind people who have given their support to dear Scamp.

UPDATE - 30th AUGUST 2008

As there have been no offers of a sponsored foster home for Scamp, it has been decided that he will stay with Hanna at Poodles in Need for the remainder if his life and so he is no longer seeking a permanent foster place.

He is doing OK, he is settled into a routine that he knows and so it would probably not now be beneficial to move him on yet again.

Thank you to all those who have asked about him from time to time and sent goodwill messages. Jay :)

BLACK MINIATURE BOY

This is Scamp scamptake2015.jpgNEW PHOTO but he would NOT look at the camera 11 years young 12 in May.

Scamp is a large miniature who came into rescue following the death of his owners. This photograph was taken this evening after he had been dried following his bath - no privacy!!!! It really does not do him justice as he is VERY handsome and has a beautiful, very black, coat. He has been castrated.

He is of course under assessment and first impressions are that he is used to being an only dog but he was very happy to share lots of cuddles!!!

If you would like to know more about Scamp, or think you may have the right home to offer, please contact Hanna on the Poodles in Need Rescue number, Jay

UPDATE 12th March 2008

Scamps recent vet checks, and discussions with the family of his previous owners, have shown that he has several long-term health problems that he has had for some time. These can all be treated with medication and with the right medication and good care there is no reason while he should not have a good and pain-free, quality of life for whatever time he has left. Hanna feels strongly that none of these health issues should be a cause for him to be put to sleep at this time.

In view of all this, Hanna is now looking for a PERMANENT FOSTER HOME ASAP with a very experienced poodle owner, who knows the breed and who can devote to Scamp the time, attention and TLC he needs. In a very short space of time BOTH of his owners have died and he has moved 'home' at least 3 times. Circumstances have dictated that each time he has settled somewhere he has been moved on. This has just distressed him further and exacerbated his medical conditions. He really needs to be able to make a final move, as soon as humanly possible, to a forever home.

Scamp has serious skin problems, severe arthritis and dry eye, which Hanna will be happy to discuss, in full, with anyone considering fostering him on a permanent basis.

Poodles in Need will be paying for his medication and treatment. As it is such a tiny rescue with little funds, someone has already offered a small monthly donation towards his care costs and any other offers will be greatfully received and appreciated. Just please contact Hanna direct.

If you think you may have just the foster home Scamp needs, please call Hanna on the Poodles in Need number. If you have to leave a message please remember to leave a contact number, landline number if possible to keep costs to a minimum, thank you, Jay :)

Jeri.jpg This is Jeri

Jeri is a miniature boy. An absolutely wonderful little chap, healthy, happy and very loving.

He needs a new home through no fault of his own - his elderly owner is just no longer able to look after him and give him the care and attention he needs and deserves.

He is 9/10 years of age.

He is castrated, house trained, lead trained, good in the car and very used to being clipped and groomed with no problem.

He would benefit from the company of another poodle, preferably a spayed girl and it would be great if we could find him a loving new home real soon.

i have a spayed girl hehe i wish he had come from a home with kids he is an adorable chap
