border collie Posted July 27, 2007 Report Share Posted July 27, 2007 My sister has just spent ages trying to catch a brown/tan male lurcher near the roundabout leading onto St Peters Way (A666) He was terrified and thin. She couldn't catch him even though a few people stopped to help Police have been notified and he was last seen heading up the central grassy bit towards Bolton. mole Posted July 28, 2007 Report Share Posted July 28, 2007 Would be very surprised if the police do anything - I was told police don't get involved with dogs anymore. Local dog warden would be the best bet - ours came out in 1/2 an hour for a dog we found recently - but he was secured. A friend saw a lurcher running loose some time back over Preston way and she called the dog warden and they were on it straight away. Only problem might be that it's weekend.
