scipio
I am sorry if someone has already posted this response - I don't have time to read all the threads! Here is his response, in which I feel a tad disappointed. "I am replying to your recent letter about the plight of greyhounds. At a recent meeting of the All Party Animal Welfare Group, I announced that the Group would be carrying out an investigation into the greyhound industry and both Defra and the industry have agreed to give evidence. We hope to finish our investigation and complete a report by early in the New Year. I will obviously bear in mind your comments." Fat lot of good it is talking to Defra and the industry itself. I had urged him to talk to rescues, particularly independent rescues with no axe to grind, who are at the coal face as far as discarded racers go. I think perhaps I may follow up with another letter.
