  1. Another one who feels the same. If money is a problem getting appropriate or expert vet treatment, can you take him to the PDSA? But I'm sure the rescue would help you, you've only recently acquired your two younger dogs, haven't you? - perhaps, also, if there was initial rescue insurance it would mean he's covered?
  2. Sorry the very beautiful Susie's ill; hope it's not pancreatitis or anything else too bad. Will look out for her results while sending her healing thoughts!
  3. Nothing you can do to stop irresponsible people collecting animals by buying them from breeders, unfortunately; just have to hope rescues are not duped into handing over creatures that have already had more than their fair share of misery. As for forums that fete such people as being 'victims of malicious rescuers', I guess that's likely to happen rubbing shoudlers with breeders, coursers, etc.: rescues are likely to be looked down on as no more than 'sentimental do gooders'. I share your & Fee's sentiments.
  4. Arnica is a great anti inflammatory - promotes healing generally, and also gives some pain relief. It's great for bruising. I also use Green Lipped Mussel Extract for my g'hound's arthritic wrists, this has seemed to help in the longer-term (been using it now since last August).
  5. Bess, Millie & I had a great afternoon, thanks to all. Some photos .. none of mine are very good I'm afraid - except this one I thought came out really well Bess & Millie are top right .. I don't know the person's name who kindly held them for me, but she has a beautiful fawn grey Last but not least - Woody , and Suzanne demonstrating how, with broken finger, to walk enthusiastic puppy whilst elegantly holding poo bag followed, but not too closely, by the stunning Harry giving Paul! a tow Thanks so much, Claire, for the hot chocolate, and Wendy for the chocoloate brownies .. chocolate has been my favourite food for nearly 50 years now and if for nothing else, these definitely make winter WL walks worth attending!! Thanks to Suzanne for the livercake, too (say Millie & Bess) - you resembled the Pied Piper when you got that out! Millie is totally pigged out having successfully mugged far too many kind people for treats. Chris, Bess & Millie
  6. Likewise, on all points! Chris, Bess & Millie I can't tell you, Suzanne, how truly happy I am that Woody has his own coat!! Do hope coats aren't needed tho. Chris, Bess & Millie
