  1. About 500 yards away from me, across a field is a small farm with about 15 horses. In one of their fields today they put up 2 huge marquees, and balloons and stuff. A wedding apparently. The music started at around 1pm and is still going strong. Ive had to turn up my tv and the bass of the disco is actually vibrating through my house. I dread to think how those poor horses are doing right on top of the noise

  2.

My nice physio man says I am back to square one but worse, which does explain why I am extra hurty - so I gave him a cake.

I am off to do jobs involving lots of windmilling movements in the hope that I can come back later for a catch up.

Dare I hang the washing out .........

I sypathise, but Im not sure you are meant to be doing any jobs regardless of bloody windmills if your shoulder is buggered. Should you not be doing the exersises the physio gave you and not much else? Ive been nagged to death by Rykat for 3 weeks and am being good and doing what the physio said I can do and not much more.

Its been quite hellishly busy this morning but all my customers have been very good at popping their pets into the runs for me. Im out of that vital stuff called food though so I think I shall have to bite the bullet and nip out to Tesco extra for a few bits. I might hang on till Bobby brings the 'moog' over for a bath and drag her with me so she can continue to nag while I shop

  3. are you on a contract, or if not, would you consider one to get the phone for free? Have you checked your current contract if you are on with and see if its worth waiting a little longer for a free upgrade?

Ive only used the iphone with touchscreen querty, but 2 of my staff had the lg one and hated it. That might be a personal thing as they both moved from sony phones but as soon as they could upgrade, they got rid.

  4. moring. Must be the day for physio visits today. I have mine at 3pm. I still cant do some of the stuff the skinny bint with double joints on the pictures can do, but Im getting more movement slowly

    Glad Dex is ok :flowers:

Hope Ben isnt too spaced out for too long :flowers:

Alex I cant imagine ever going out with me drawers inside my jeans either :ph34r_anim: :laughingsmiley:

  5. I should get my exam result from the May exam tonight. It's officially due on the website tomorrow, but they sometimes put the results up early, so from 9pm tonight I will be checking every half hour. I actually feel physically sick :sick01:

any preference on breed of dog while I head off to make your sh*t buttie or was it your hat you were eating this time? Im sure you will have done it yet again. I prescribe a few glasses of wine though, before 9pm so you are relaxed when they come through :flowers:

  6.

This morning I am mostly regretting scrubbing the disgusting greasey insides of the extractor unit. I like that they are now nice and clean but don't like what it did to my arm, even though I did most of the scrubbing with my left hand. Shoot me now for being stubborn and stupid

I can sympathise with that. Although my op was nothing like as big as yours, mentally I still beleive my shoulder can take some of the kennel duties and I keep doing stupid stuff.

  7. can you drink using the same side hand as your repaired shoulder, that would be therapy wouldnt it ?

I see lots of therapy in your immediate future Di

I tested out my right arm several times over with bottles of WKD blue and yes I call that part of my physio  I dont actually have any strength in it, so I cant do much more. If I need to slap any southerners it will have to be left handed this weekend

  8. morning. I have been trying to do my exersises as directed by the physio, for my shoulder. Im sure the lass in the example pictures is double jointed  Im not convinced my shoulders and arms went so far round my back before I knackered it, never mind now its been tugged and pulled and shaved inside

I am going to London today for a long weekend with my mother for her birthday. She has been asking for weeks if I would like to go and see a show, and how much she would like to see Oliver, and I have to keep telling her its fully booked. She doesnt know I have already bought her and dad tickets for tomorrow night. I plan to go and get p*ssed with my mate and his family while they do the sedatory show

  9. morning

Alex = Im sure you will be fine, just keep calm :flowers:

Owl - I hope living in Notts solves your problems :flowers:

Sorry but it takes me so long to type left handed i keep forgetting what everyone has posted

RMF - first trip to physio today. Hope it doesnt result in too much pain for either of us

  10. morning

Alex - I shall take pics of you eating that meal when you pass the exam

I discovered getting a pair of socks on, one handed and not my right hand is a challenge as is making a coffee without spilling the stuff from teaspoon to mug. its all fun stuff

  11.

Got another Sky plus box. I can survive without most things ,Sky is one thing I cant manage without.

Im with you on that one!

I made the scaffolders work around my sky dish last week as they got the place ready for the roofers to come in. I told them they could not go home till I was sure i had a full sky service working

  12. Im home and apart from a dull ache Im feeling good. Only a couple of holes in my shoulder and a few stitches and stiff but i'm quite bright and 'with it' I dont think there is any way known to man that makes it possible to sleep in any position that doesnt hurt so I foresee lots of naps at my desk whether I want to or not

I have my exersises to do, my list of do's and donts and Im going to attempt to do as Im told and behave for a while

thanks for all the kind messages :flowers:

  13. morning. Today is the day  The nil by mouth bit off. I had to get up early to have a drink and then go back to bed  Should be back tomorrow with a little less bone in my shoulder and a bit more movement

  14. I had a similar experience Lesley with my hairdresser this week. I told him I needed something a little more managable as I will be in a sling from tomorrow for a few weeks and not using my shoulder too well for a few months. He cut most of it off  Said he'd had a rotten week and just felt like chopping off some hair!!

  15. Only just got in from work. It's been hectic. Now I have to try and put it to one side and get into study mode for the next few days.

RMF : I am having a glass of wine - purely medicinal of course

have the other 5 in the bottle and you wont be nearly as stressed as you are now about your exams

  16. Bugger. Thunder storm just started and some of the kennel dogs are quite stressy. Poor staff running about making sure everyone is shut inside, radios are on loud etc. we all look like drowned rats
