I have to agree the showjumping phase was always my least favourite part of the 3 phase eventing....I was always terrifird Id forget the course....and tense up....

It looks harder because the horses and the riders are tired and after the speed work the day before the horses can get a bit long and the jumping a little flat ....but they are getting better all the time with the training and the breeding...(My friend breeds eventers (Irish Sport Horses) in Ireland)

I have managed to spend most of the weekend watching the Eventing Dressage Joe my other half has left me in peace with the telly its been such a treat!!! in work today though so cant watch the x Country which is rubbish

Although the Horseracing has been able to continue through the wet weather, it has to be said though these race courses spend millions on technology to keep the courses free draining....dont think they have spent that on a public park...have to say id be livid if it was my local park...its going to be horrendous after this circus has tramped through it....

I cant book the day off.....its month end and Im the only one in that week.....though if I was the organiser I would be bricking it after all this rain it will be like a maggot pit

I will be stuck in work and will miss the whole thing!!! for me it was the only redeeming part of the whole fiasco...sorry rant over!!

I think it can be a bit of a shock to them when the shoes come off at first....there are some really good 'bare foot' websites that might offer some reasuurance.... Glad you didnt fall off in your jumping lesson...

Having been there and done it (the falling off I mean) it can be hard to get back into it....I like to go right back to trotting poles (On the lunge if I have to) then just build up one phase at a time....cross poles, uprights, spread and combinations.... I bet the fall in Love.... its always the way....

Oh no how awful, I hope she is ok now....everyone seems to be having massive vet bills at the moment

had a text last night...Hyjaks mommy had a chesnut filly foal on Tuesday morning by Pointelist TB Stallion...I will post pics as soon as I get them she, is apparantly huge...

He has had 8 x satin ball over three meals.. cant see any difference yet but its early days

I hope things are looking up for all those with leg/feet issues....and you get a summer of soundness at least the ground isnt too firm...
