Rolex the stoopid watch dog. No one told him he has hip dysplasia or that he was on his way to be put down before he came to Trallwm Farm. He is just the happiest clown we have.
And of course Mummies bestest goodest boy in all the world My Mr Bojangles

Navicular isnt the end of the world. Often its caused by work and at least then you would know its not genetic.
With careful shoeing she will still have a good quality of life.
We get lots of horses through here with navicular who have just had to change work load.
I know its not what you would have wanted for her but its controllable and she can have a future.

not long till you can collect him kazz

What a terrible shock and tragedy to have to contend with.
There is just no justice in this world

The first thing you should do is speak to the rescue he came from. Firstly its polite as he is there responsibility secondly they could enquire of the previous family/vet and see if this is something that has happened before.
It could be something that he cant tolerate or is allergic to but it probably is just a mild virusy thing and he will be fine in a day or two.

Yeah he is definately a short lurcher
Whoppity would let him in his gang cos he is a scruff hound.

There was an interview on radio 4 earlier and the interviewer questioned if the interviewee thought that what he did was the same as pounds do when they humanely PTS

I think its not that they switch off but more that they dont have the ability to think.
In 100 years WE will be a rarity.
A lot of families being bred now are from parents who dont give a toss and only had kids because contraception was something else they couldnt think about.
The next generation will have inherited these traits and take it one stage further and will progressively care even less about anything other than themselves.
Ive caught kids harming animals and the parents are clueless on what Im shouting about let alone the kids who think its funny.
Spay the humans I say.Save the world a whole heap of bother in the future.Educate the children before its too late.

Owl beat me to it
But its not all about puppyfarmers.its misleading to think it is.
This is the general attitude towards animals that we have to cope with. Im sure its the same in some other areas.
there is a total disregard for anything non human or not related humans.
The mememe attitude is appauling.
They only put free to "gud ome" to make themselves look better.I expect whatever is needing the hay will be dumped with equal callousness.
When we get a call for a dog coming in now often the first question is "do you charge " This will be accompanied by long drawn out garbage about how fido, who is generally a collie x has the children backed into a corner and we have to rush over to save them.
They question the charge because they have bought the dog on dole day from the one place that entertains them and it costs £60 to take your big mistake back.If they can get us to take the dog for free AND get us to collect then lifes cushty.
Its no different with horses. They buy foals at auction cos its trendy and cheap. It gets bigger and bites/mounts the kids. The back garden is mush and its £140 to get it gelded.
THEN when they think all these places that advertise horse welfare are going to bale them out and they dont ...guess who gets the phone call.
Crosshands / Llanelli is particularly bad. I have two Deerhound crosses who were living on station rd playing on the railway line. Its right bang smack in the middle of a big busy town and they were both runnng free.
This bully is not alone but hopefully will be better off with someone who has paid in bales than with someone who values him so little.

Its been law about livestock for two years.
You cannot bury them on land unless you have permission from trading standards to do so.
Its to do with water tables but more to do with EU intervention rules.
My understanding so far is that pets can be buried. Large pets need permission.

He is the most amazing colour.
Rolex looks similar when he has had a swim through the slurry pit

The problem is that there is not enough space being offered.
It wont be long before there are problems or the wolves bugger off.
I can see enterprising farmers finding lots of thier sheep being eaten by Wolves

Preloved upgraded us and have been very helpful.
The message was archived shortly after we all started commenting on it so the dog could be gone but he could just have moved the ad.
He certainly sells dogs at intervals. I would guess he gets them and sells them on as there is no emotion simply a lame excuse.
I would ask only genuine people who are able to work wih us take this forward.
We are only interested in the welfare of the dog.
It may be as well to do this by PM so its not visible

My daughter had a siamese who would attack on sight anything large and muzzled.
I had to wait down the road one night with a deranged GSD who was too scared to go home untill my daughter came and took the cat away.
What a wonderful invention

The owner belongs to hunting sites. He advertised a patterdale bull as unwanted due to lack of space

If it had been years or the dog had been in any appeared mistreat I might have had more sympathy with the new owner but to me in these circumstances if the dog looks like he wants to go home he should be allowed to do so and I'd like to think that after a few weeks with a dog versus years if I were in the same boat I'd do the decent thing regardless of my legal rights and let the dog go back to his real home and family.
Thats people for you. They would rather grab something then give thought to the safety and welfare of a dog.
I have a dog missing that has a major medical history and bites. One day the family who have this dog are going to have thier hearts broken.
-
Pound rules are ten days but if people microchipped animals they would be home as soon as found
-
I will have him here if he can be got out.
So thats that one solved. Can we be careful on the moving chain please as we want him to be safe
-
Oh well it was worth a go.
Wouldnt it have been fantastic for this little dog to have a loving family waiting for him
-
Is it worth comparing him to any of the missing Welsh JRs on dog lost ?
Only the name is Twelsh and suddenly the police had warned JR owners that JRS are going missing ( Doh ! )
