  1. I feel cheated when people walk. After all the very unpleasant people have all been voted out. Looking back there were some muppets ! I think after the first vote there should be implications if you walk. When I applied 3 years ago two people I was up with in the chhosing stage got through and one of them walked in the first two days of getting in. Wheres the point in that especially when other people would have gone in and stayed in.

Im finding some people like Aaron irritating but then we have to have one we love to hate.

  2. Its interesting whats been said about facebook.... There seems to be two camps on there. Those with depression and easily bullied and the other camp led by a few who conduct hate campaigns and try to put as many torturous photos on as they can. People strive to be seen to be on the right side which is the camp that points fingers at "lesser people" rather than become the accused. I wonder how many attempted suicides facebook members are responsible for. When I was ill and waiting for an op it was easier to post on FB than have to follow threads and string a sentence together

  3. Hello :wavey:

I am in Sri Lanka on my way back from Oz , I have finished my 3 month contract and am hoping they will be able to offer me more work in the future

I will be home in the UK this weekend after 13 weeks away , its pretty hard to know which of the 3 countries I have lived in this year is home now laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

very much looking forward to seeing all my folks both 2 and 4 legged :jumpy:

Wow the time flew, probably not for you but for us it was a few photos and then you are on your way back.

  4. good evening :flowers:

We appear to be staying in Fawlty towers! there was no answer when we arrived at the B&B,and there is a for sale board on the wall. There was a note to say to go two doors down, knock on a french window and "Dave " would sort us out.

We did as it said, only "Dave" was a housebound old chap who said we weren't due till tomorrow and the owners had gone away! He called yet another neighbour, who did know about us and came over. In the meantime we had a nice chat with Dave.

Neighbour let us in, berating us for being early and asking what time we wanted breakfast, only not too early cos she's not getting up.

She gave us keys and left. we are on our own, except for one other room, from where we can hear talking.

There is a Costcutter shop over the road which, although open, has boarding over the door and a window. Apparently caused by ram raiders who possibly wanted to rob the place. ( I have yet to find out if this is true)

'The saving grace of the whole episode has been the local pub, which is very dog friendly. We have had a lovely meal there, chatting to the locals, one with a dog called Barney who spent the whole time whacking Jack on the head with his paw.  We now know of lots of walks locally and the dogs were given doggy biscuits by the pub owners. We have had a laugh about the strange situation and are looking forward to breakfast, (Sort of)

You must be somewhere near me then lol

  5. Well done Bobs Mum :circle: Keep going.

Tomorrow I will be 1 year off cigarettes :bigsmiley: If I can do it after smoking for 30 years, anyone can :thumbsup_anim:

Thats brilliant. I wish I could give up my many vices. I dont smoke though. Just passing through to say hello to everyone. So Hello

  6. ive just had to tell my brother how ill mother is. lots of upset, so now got a bad stomach. just swallowed the imodium. was due out to run errands, end of that. I dont know if my other brother knows, but dont want to ring him.

    I hate my life

When a man tells you to step up to the plate it usually means they want you to be the responsible adult with everything because they cannot cope with anything. Tell him to step up and shoulder his share because right now you are carrying everybody.

  7. Went to look a some boarding kennels today (for when dog phobic DIL's visit!! with grandchildren). Great place, lovely people.

Best of all we got wonderful snogs and great cuddles from a pair of deerhounds. I think I'm in lurve  Anyone know of any good reason why I shouldn't have one ??

None ar all. If everyone had Deerhounds we wouldnt need dog trainers

  8. Morning :tired:

    Thank you :liebe94:

Hair looks great Jayne - you can tell it's a good cut flowers.gif

RMF : Exam day and I have the mother of all headaches. However, after the exam I am off to lunch with some girls from work at the Marriott, followed by some pampering in their Spa. I have booked a pedicure and a facial biggrin.gif I've never been pampered before, so it'll be a new experience for me.

I think you deserve an afternoon of me time with all the studying you do.

  9. Great cut, Jayne. I need to get mine done, it's a mess and hasn't been cut since last September.

Lesley, I thought parrots were supposed to be intelligent??

I have been driving around Leicester today  which is not very good for one's sanity. There is an awful lot of Leicester to get round to reach the other side.

He is just inquisitive and is considering a career as an Arborist.

Mind you with police checks for violence he may not get a Uni to take him. He is "free range " most of the time and when I shut his cage door he tries to get my fingers

  10. There is a flock of mad parrots living in the park by my apartment , they divebomb the TV ariels of nearby houses and squawk loudly , normally on a Saturday Morning when we all want a lay in ! if the did ASBOs for birds they would be head of the queue

There are also possums in the Park but I have yet to see them

I throw Bojangles huge quilt over the cage if Rio starts before dawn. He makes sort of a dissapointed ohh noise and then goes back to sleep. Bojangles is always grateful and wags his tail cos Ive shut the parrot up.

You may get arrested in the park if you try this tactic with a quilt although you may get away with it on a possum

  11. just watched a program called Essex Jungle or something like that, and this fella built a big thinggy bob for his crocodiles and I just wondered if he had to go into the enclosure daily to clear up croc poo and if they don't then what happens to it.

I think they call it a whole crock of poo

  12. bad times here. the cancer is beating my mum. she cant get out of her chair and needs constant care. a hospital bed has been delivered today for her living room. I just hope shes out of pain soon as its horrible seeing her like this
