  1. Sending lots of good thoughts your way Aliciaflowers.gif

I know how painful bone ops are but you will soon be over it and back to normalGroup_Hug_Emoticon.gif

Just tell yourself that the pain you had before it was done was not going away and would get worse but now it can and will only get betterflowers.gif

  2. Be careful with the tomato as a lot of dogs don't tolerate it very wellsad.gif It's something to do with the citric acid I believe.

I have a dog who had terrible problems with belly ache and gassy intestines so much so he had to have major investigations and cost a fortunerolleyes.gif

He used to be in agony especially in the evenings and we thought we were actually going to lose him.

Silly Mummy should have realised it was the tomato rolleyes.gif He never had a problem with it before but I know through trial and error it was definitely causing him big problems. Even left over baked beans made him very poorly because of the tomato sauce.

I thought I would mention it in case your doglet was a bit 'off' and you would think it was the raw meat that was causing the troublesmile.gif

  3. I don't use Landywoods as I find the owner snappy and I won't deal with people like that.

The BritBarf site is good. Lots of members who are happy to answer anything at all - even if you think it's a silly question. The members are very knowlegeable.

Hope that helps and it hasn't confused you. You are welcome to PM me. flowers.gif

Funnily enough I found the person on the other end of the 'phone at Landywoods a little 'off hand' which made me feel a bit disconcerted though I don't know who it wasrolleyes.gif

I had my first order last month and it did come very frozen-no chance of it thawing out very quickly at allrolleyes.gif

I have found it to be a bit yucky compared to Prize Choice Freeflow which I had previously been using. Dogs seemed fine on it but it is very gooey and bloody and more smelly which I am sure is ok for the doglets but no good if you have a delicate stomach. Probably because I am a vegan myselflaugh.gif

I still prefer the Prize Choice one but it does work out more expensive to use.

I give mine chicken wings as a treat 3 times a week and when they have their meat I add veg, some raw, some cooked depending what I use.

I also add flax oil and a small amount of Multiplex powder.

They have fruit and seeds alsotongue.gif

I must say though that our dogs health, stamina and condition have improved enormously since I started feeding rawsmile.gif

  4. Our vet and his team are fantastic-very professional and compassionateflowers.gif

We always have a card off them when our pets leave for the Bridge.

So many times we have had to call him in the middle of the night and gone to the surgery to be greeted with a big smile. He is so obliging and understanding.

He doesn't charge hideous prices eitherrolleyes.gif

He never rushes us when we go to the surgery and takes his time and explains everything and doesn't talk to us like we are idiots! We are so luckysmile.gif

  5. That is so sad and unnecessarysad.gif

I know someone who rescues swans and waterfowl and it is a regular occurrencemad.gif

So many creatures are damaged in this waymad.gif
