http://www.teesdaleholidays.co.uk/froghall.htm We've just come back from a weekend away at Frog Hall farm cottage near Middleton-in-Teesdale, County Durham. It's about an hour south west of Newcastle. Beautiful, secluded place, you can't see another house from there. Garden wall isn't very high though, and there are sheep in some fields. Every comfort and dogs welcome, real fires and well-equipped kitchen. I'd really recommend it, lots of great walks in the area and not too many tourists. You can book by the night and it's only £25/night at this time of year. Sleeps four.
