    Beds!

I have two large dog beds that are no longer needed as the dogs now have thier own sofa. They are quite large modelled here by my two and the lovely Jerry Lee Those are the two beds pushed together, but are still quite large when seperated. Id rather it went to a needy oldy before I try elsewhere. But for obvious reasons they cant be mailed, so would have to be around the Wallingford area of Oxfordshire!
  2. Meg is doing fiiiiine, such a perfect dog. Although I think she loves the sofa more than she loves Spirit now She looks a bit lost at the moment because Gareth is abroad for a couple of months, she walks around aimlessly when he would be due in for work But she soon forgets him when she gets to lie on the sofa again
  3. I was panicing then, I remembered paying for it all in one go. But I couldnt remember getting the paperwork through. But I have had a rummage and I have indeed recieved it. I shall waft it in her direction when I arrive. Now just to find a tent...
  4. Shop till you drop! Those sort? I wear mine when Im walking the dogs. That with the "I need a home" leads are usually a conversation starters. Although, I was walking last week and some lady came up to me when she saw "Oldies Club" and went "Oh you dont look that old!", oh boy did she back pedal when she saw the back of the shirt going on about rehoming dogs
  5. They are gorjuss! Im in the process of drawing up my tattoo to remember Ben who passed away this week. Wish I had the guts for something that big though!
  6. Meg seems to be enjoying the warm weather, she goes even more wacky! Poor Spirit has met his match in this minx. Hard to believe this girl is 10 years old and Spirit is 7, he struggles to keep up with her
  7. Ben was helped to the bridge this afternoon by the vet with my Dad and sister holding his paw. My dad woke up this morning and could tell by the look in Bens eyes that it was time. Run free at the Bridge baby. Thank you for everything you did for me over the last 17 years. You were the first one I told I passed my exams, I cried in to your fur at my first breakup, I laughed with you when times were good, but most of all you introduced me to the world of rescue dogs and put me on the path I am now. There will be a star shining slightly brighter this evening, sleep well x x x
  8. Here is Meg celebrating Sandy's birthday last weekend. Meg is well... Meg Such an easy dog, loopy and cuddlable. She and Spirit still love thier cuddles, although they had a slight lovers tiff over a chew last week. But they soon kissed and made up. Some one is going to be very lucky to get Queen Meg
  9. Ok I finally remembered to book my tent pitch. So we booked in for Fri 25th-26th June. Going will be Myself, Gareth, the terrible two Sandy & Spirit and a foster doggy if I have one at the time. She seemed quite shocked when I booked 3 dogs?! Should I be scared I just hope there are many hands around to help me put up a tent as I suck
  10. Poor Ben he has had a rough few months. First he had his stroke, which he recovered from fine. But the scans showed up a small mass at the back of his nose, which turned out to be cancer. It has spread furiously and has headed for his lymph nodes and throat. He is on medication to ease it, but he is finding it hard to breath now due to swelling. So my Dad has took a week off work so he can spoil him rotten, both my dad, the vet and myself (to an extent) has decided that we think it is time to help him on to the Bridge after next week.
  11. Yes indeed, looks like Whiskey has landed on his 4 paws. Third time is a charm, good luck Whiskey!
  12. Its been 5 years since Sandy arrived with us, and its been a bit of a rollercoaster. I went to the rescue centre to look for a collie type puppy so I could start agility and flyball, I took one look at Sandy's brown eyes through the cage and I knew he was a keeper. He was old, loud and had bad breath but I knew he had to be mine... my heart actually skipped a beat! He is my soul mate and we have both got each other through several trials and tribulations over the last 5 years, the main one being his amputation. But Happy Gotcha Day you Umperlumper!
  13. Joined both on my Facebook page and will suggest the page to my friends
  14. Yay great work! Id love to do the rounds with the shops around me but I wouldnt know where to start with a begging letter. I tend to come off as needy and annoying And I dont want people to think theres an annoying needy woman from the Oldies Club harassing them
  15. Queen Meg now weighs a whopping 23kgs now so has gained close to 3kgs in 3 weeks! And she is turning in to more of a minx every day Although she is weird, her pigment is changing and is turning into a spotty dog. Like a skinny dalmation
  16. I recommend Shorty Leanne aswell! She is fab

    Ibrox

Looks like she is allergic to cats Such a sad story
  18. Coffee and Cake ooooOOO! Marked it in my diary, I shall be there!
  19. Yes I know its sad, but im rather excited about the up and coming "Events Season" as I call it. Where charities work endlessly throughout the spring and summer working at events to raise money and raise awareness. Its the first time I've done a season with Oldies, last year I did the circuit with a different rescue. But I have my diary out making notes of ones near me I should be able to attend, and OH said he will book the days off so he can help aswell. And I noticed there is one in Preston, which is where my family all live... so an excuse to go home!! And its an excuse to buy Oldies merchandise! I have my list ready!
  20. Sounds like a plan! As long as I have somewhere to throw the car. I could throw some posters up and post them on the RAF base so we might be able to raise awareness there Still debating wether Sandy could manage the walk, bless I think Ill have to leave him at home
  21. Meg wanted to pose her figure for you all, look mum no ribs!! Spotty ears
  22. Once I get on to my PC, if I donate £10 or something for some banannas. Spirit and Sandy would like one and the rest of the donation can be put towards more banannas for Oldies or put towards other things. It is up to you! I can do personlised necklaces if anyone wants one! I have "Spirit" around my neck- until some one thought my name was "Spirit"
  23. Can I donate towards the material? Sandy is most insistant that he gets a gold bananna bandana
  24. Looks like you had a great day, well done on the total and raising awareness to the Oldies! Wish I could of been there Sandy is now most jeleous of the Gold bandannas though
  25. Yeah Ive been chatting with Gareth and we have both come to the conclusion she is ready to find the forever home she deserves. Her weight is always going to be an on going battle, but shes putting it on slowly Im glad you liked the video!
