  1. I will have a Google for the cani cross stuff... Thanks...
  2. But I doubt that would stop her tripping me up! I'm scared to do it in case I tread on her. I know I could go running on my own but I know I'd never do it! I've heard of cani cross and wondered how those people managed to prevent their dogs tripping them up! (By the way, in case you were thinking it, I haven't been running while she's been on lead).
  3. I've decided I want to get a bit fitter and thought it would be great to go running with Pixie, as she does run with me when I run (instead of her usual sniffing and rabbit spotting). But instead of staying next to me, after a short while she either runs in front of me and trips me up or runs behind me and bumps against my legs. I don't think she wants me to get fit! I'm not sure how to stop her doing this, or should I just give up on the idea?!
  4. is being Pixie's pillow... as usual

  5. I feel bad now. There was racing pigeon outside my work a couple of months ago, which didn't fly away when I walked near it so I was a bit concerned. My supervisor told me there are lots about and they're just having a rest before continuing home. If I had read that link before I wouldn't have left it there.

She says thank you for all the nice comments!

    Pixie

Well, she would say hello if she wasn't snoozing! We already have a thread in 'The place to start' so hope it's OK to say hello again here. I'm just getting the hang of posting photos so I'm enjoying showing her off!
  8. Completely agree. This is the last thing you'd expect from a police officer. They are supposed to save dogs from these situations not do it themselves!

    Hello

Haha, yes! That's what I thought! No... How would I do that? (Am liking the idea!!)

    Hello

Yay, I remembered how to do it (eventually)! Here she is sunbathing at my mum and dad's. Here's another one:

    Hello

Thanks! I'll try to get more photos as I'd really love to capture all aspects of her personality. I wish I'd got one of her the other day. One thing I've noticed about Staffies is they seem to like to sit/lie in funny positions. She was literally kneeling down on what would be her knees if she was human, with her hind paws sticking out behind her. I did laugh at her a bit! I'll see what else I've got on my phone...

    Hello

At last! Here she is. Not great quality as they are off my phone and I'm not very steady!

    Hello

I can't make the image appear. It appears in the box I type in but not when I preview the post.

    Hello

Hello I'm Della. I have a Staffie called Pixie who is about three years old. I got her from a stray dog kennels almost a year ago (though it feels like she's been here forever ). She is black brindle and has a white marking on her chest that looks like an upside-down heart (hence my corny username!). Her favourite things are cuddles, tummy rubs, chasing her ball-on-a-rope, puppies, carrots, chewing her Kong, horses, cheese and lie-ins under the duvet. She is a very sociable girl and loves meeting people and dogs. She isn't so friendly when it comes to foxes and cats though!! I've taken quite a lot of pics of her on my mobile but need to get them online. I thought I would join a forum instead of continuing to bore my family and friends by talking about dogs all the time!
