Kent Greyhound Welfare are pleased to announce their first raffle.
We are holding a raffle to help to raise funds for a GLWR Greyhound called Belle. She came into rescue with an old injury which GLWR were assured had been properly fixed. Belle was with them no longer that a day before she was adopted and she is now a much loved pet.
Belle has now gone lame and further investigation has revealed that the injury has in fact not received any veterinary attention at all. Belle is now non load bearing on this leg. :'(
The cost of the operation that Belle needs will be a four figure sum and neither her new Mum (who is on the point of selling her engagement ring to help fund the operation) and GLWR (who are full to the brim with dogs both in kennels and foster homes) can find that kind of money. The insurance won't pay as they class it as a pre-existing condition. So we are asking you to help us help them.
We have been lucky enough to have donated to us, by some very kind and amazingly generous people, some fantastic prizes. Please do pop in and have a look.
We will be running the raffle from 9pm Friday 15th May until Sunday 31st May at 9pm.
