Dear Auntie Melp thank you for your advice , yes Claire did lend me the shoes ( and the ear rings, and the bag and the flower bracelet and the glasses ) I am beginning to think maybe her taste is not as good as I first thought my frock is a floor length black evening gown type thing from Principles with a bit at the front that looks like it got twisted in the wash ( Claire says there is a proper name for it but I am buggered if I know whats its called ) I was thinking maybe I could just attend the "do" with a brown paper bag over my head as the frock is alright Sam
