At the dentist sadly my crowns are not ! They are " on the way" which in Sri Lanka could be 5 minutes or 5 days my friend is pretty poorly but at least I was able to update his wife on his wife who was going frantic worrying about him , he is wired up to a heap of machines and I had to be very careful not to unplug any of them when I plugged the iPad !!!!

Jazz it's no one else business's where you live or why you need to move Circumstances change and clearly you would not be considered for a move unless it was necessary I don't see that you need to justify it to this person or anyone else unless they are directly involved in the re housing process I am finally at the dentist today to get my perm crowns fitted which is good as the temp ones are just about in place after 10 days I am also visiting a friend in hospital later, his wife is in the UK attending her mother's funeral and he has been taken ill and needed blood transfusions and is currently in the ICU. I am sure he is feeling very isolated so I am taking my iPad for him as well

could you foster puppies ? I am sure a lot of rescues would need good foster homes for pups Helloooooooooo another one started to work loose today and the dentist is seeing me tomorrow , oh woe is me and my teeth !!! Well thats very good news indeed , happy bidding

Alex don't tell anyone but some mornings I get up and don't think I can do it either ! Today I have had a meeting at the Controlled Drugs and Devices authority to get clearance to import gas anaesthesia equipment into Sri Lanka Next stop Ministry of Defence for Marks visa then hopefully the dentist to get my new crowns fitted as one of the temp ones fell of yesterday

Went to a Christmas Carol service at the British High Commission and through no fault of my own saw the high commissioner with out his trousers own Also saw a very nice photo of the Queen taken in 1954 during a visit to Sri Lanka and had a Tescos mince pie which they had imported for the event normal day here there really

2 hours at the dentist and then 30 minutes of physio and I just want to go home and curl up on the sofa , good to get all the awful Stuff over in one day I guess

My yoga DVD has arrived Hooray and my physio is continuing ( ouch ) , had a set back last week when my knee started to hurt again which had slowed everything down but was able to start yoga yesterday

Jazz can you contact that group for support again ? It really sounds like you could do with specialised help and advice Owl I feel your pain , I am currently sitting in the waiting room at the dentist

Jazz it does seem like you are finding things very tough currently , is there any charity or support group you can talk with to get some extra support ?

sorry to read you are having such a worrying time Snow , I hope that next week comes as quickly as it can with positive news I have an anti NGO poster on Facebook full of , you should be feeding children not dogs , all NGOs are corrupt and thieves etc etc , not the worst stuff I have read by a long shot but it never ceases to amaze me the vile crap that people are prepared to write at me because I have given up my career , a salary and seeing family more than once a year to try and do some positive in the world in a country where I now employ 20 people and lordy lord we do dreadful things like save the lives of animals and people from Rabies what a bad bad person I am eh !!!

I join you in the amazed corner re Britain First followers , I understand they are very clever in their marketing and lots of folk were sharing things accidentally at first ( dog abuse post for example ) but now I am sure most people do know what they are and I am sad to see how easily people share things on Facebook with out checking out the validity of the statement Hello Liz , Mark and I are keeping you and your mum in our thoughts am blushing at being called a lady ! Thats very sad to read , although I have never met you I would love to be your real time friend so I think its her loss Your preaching to the converted here sister , when we were leaving to come to Sri Lanka we had so so so so so much to do , house to clear etc and Mark posted a number of times on Facebook asking people we had helped over the years to come and help us and not a single one of them did , not one ! a vet nurse at our practice and her husband offered to help assisted by my 75 year old mother and with out them I would be still be there now packing boxes Ditto fund raising stall for Dogstar , I spent many weekends running stalls for other people over the years but when ever I asked if anyone could return the favour , nothing ! Now I used to be cross and bitter but I am not now , their behaviour defines them not me , I am not lacking in anything because they would not help me ,

I am a total and utter bah humbug and give nothing to anyone except a few Sri Lanka children who live in poverty and adults who need a helping hand up ( over the year ) this year for "christmas" I am buying one Sri Lankan lady a push bike as she really really really needs one to get to work to support her family and its out of her price range , Mark and I paid for the medical bills for a staff members child last month as he needed an MRI scan at a private hospital which his family could not afford , I also paid off a loan a lady had with a pawn broker ( she had borrowed for her mothers medical bill ) and now she can pay me back monthly with no interest and her grandmothers necklace is safe from being sold , she insisted I keep the necklace for security, and lastly we fund one childs English lessons giving him more options for further education ( all uni subjects here are in English ) My Uk friends and family get bugger all , they don't need anything from me
