  1. Morning All---been up since 4am bloody vandals yelling and banging at the leasure centre over the road.....guess what..police car passed 5 minutes after they duked up a path away from the main road........great...ff to see what they have damaged this time

  2. Warning!

    When I am Old

    I will wear Purple!

When I am an old woman,

    I shall wear purple - -

With a red hat which doesn't go,

    and doesn't suit me.

And I shall spend my pension

on brandy and summer gloves and satin sandles,

And say we've no money for butter.

I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired

and gobble up samples in shops

    and press alarm bells

and run with my stick along public railings,

and make up for the sobriety of my youth.

I shall go out in my slippers in the rain

and pick flowers in other people's gardens

    and learn to spit!

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat

and eat three pounds of sausages at ago,

or only bread and pickles for a week,

    and hoard pens and pencils

and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry,

    and pay our rent

and not swear in the street,

and set a good example for the children.

We must have friends to dinner

    and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?

    So people who know me

are not too shocked and surprised

    when suddenly I am old,

    And start to wear purple!

Yes, you do. Speaking as a techie, I can assure you that imaginary people have great difficulty posting on forums, due to the non-existence of their fingers and thumbs which makes it hard for them to type. :D

Ah But you can type but still be invisible ( not in a red hat wearing purple I do admit) but when people dont listen or just dont hear or see what your saying cause they dont want to, thats when I don't exist or feel invisible....but then I suppose they have made themselves invisible by behaving like pillicks cause from then on they have no bearing on anything you do......OMG its to early for this philosophically ditty

  3. could they be haematomas? basically a bad bruise where the tiny blood vessels under the skin leak blood which collects under the skin and then clots so a clot sits under the skin. the clot cannot move anywhere or cause any harm but can be painful and takes a few months usually for the skin to reabsorb the blood.

You got it in one....can take years to absorb hence the arnica cream and tabs

  4. Only 7 months to go then and people will start being v kind to me. Not sure I can abandon the hair colour though - maybe I'll dye it purple just to confuse everyone.

I'm 2 years past it but its been going on for ever :mecry: :mecry: :mecry:

  5. Very best of luck to those in court today. Also thinking pigeons stay away from melf thoughts cos there's loads of em in Liverpuddle.

    Good luck to Becks.

Bracken is no better this morning. Martyn has taken the day off work so an eye can be kept on him all day. I'm leaning more towards thinking it's a nasty bug at the moment.

Echinacea is good but I think you've said you've been taking that for a while Edith? It only helps you for so long so you need to have a gap where you don't take any. I wonder if Manuka honey would help you.

I will try that i didnt realiseyou had to stop and start echinacea thank you

  6. May day by Sara teesdale

A delicate fabric of bird song

    Floats in the air,

The smell of wet wild earth

    Is everywhere.

Red small leaves of the maple

    Are clenched like a hand,

Like girls at their first communion

    The pear trees stand.

Oh I must pass nothing by

    Without loving it much,

The raindrop try with my lips,

    The grass with my touch;

For how can I be sure

    I shall see again

The world on the first of May

    Shining after the rain?

  7. This may sound odd, but after having spent most of my life feeling invisible, I certainly wouldn't opt for it voluntarily now

First timeI have anyone other than myself voice this.....I feel exactly the same...Its the non listening that makes me feel that way...Do I exsist....now there is a question

  8. I believe Ria is a grand old age isn't she. I'm really sorry to hear she's so poorly too. What does your vet think? I normally find that vets help me to make decisions. I ask them what would you do if it was your dog. I always seem to get a better and clearer answer out of them. My thoughts are if you operate how much more time does that give you both together. We never know when they're going to go. Some live to a ripe old age but going by all of her other ailments it doesn't sound as though you would have that much longer with her anyway. I would keep her comfy as much as poss and leave her alone. But then I'm thinking she's very old and she's not my dog. Only you know how good she is in herself and whether you think it might be worth it. Send a photo to the Reiki folk so they can put her on their list for you. She's a lovely old girl and having a Spin myself I have a soft spot for her. Thinking of you all. :GroupHug:

She is on the list but a photo would be good to focus more
