  1. Morning,

It looks like things are gathering pace here unfortunately, Bonnie is finding difficulty sitting not because of pain but where the tumour is its displacing part of her pelvis and spine to so the mechanics of sitting are becoming more difficult. Looks like we are going to have to make that descision sooner rather than later. We are taking her down to the Caravan by the sea just Mum Dad and Bonnie for some real spoiling, she coped really well when we took her before and loved being the one and only for a wee while. I have bought her a memory foam bed and thats seems to help when she gets down.

Onward to the next few days and dread of the days after that.

Thank you again so much for the out pouring of love I cant tell you how much it means to me....

    Love

Edith and the gang of 5 :GroupHug:

  2. Latest update

Vet called us to say start her on tramadol 200mgm slow release at night + Metacalm in the morning and see where we go from there.......here's hoping

The other drug she had been thinking of way biophosphates but because things are so far advanced she and I feel it wouldn't be appropriate as the side effects are quite gross..

So we wait and see and adjust the dose accordingly.......

Thank you all forall your help and support you have no idea how much it means to all of us

  3. Well we are back from the vets and our worst fears have been confirmed.

The Bone tumour is the whole length of the femur and the secondary's in the lung are extensive.

The vet is trying to source a human drug specifically for Bone Cancer pain as there is nothing specific on the vets side apparently.

We are talking days or weeks but not months and having seen the x raysI would agree.

So my girl will be spoiled rotten until her quality of life starts to go then she will cross Rainbow Bridge with all the love in the world surrounding her. wub.gif

  4. Well we are back from the vets..

They still want an x ray to determine exactly how far things have gone to determine the correct pain killers for her. But they have said we can take her in from the outside to the basement so no scarey stairs and she doesn't need to be in a crate she will bein the staff kitchen with the girls till they knock her out. |They wont reverse her until we are there to be with her so I feel happier about letting them do it.

Our vets are brilliant so so adaptable to our needs............I travel 30 miles to them and when things are fine I feel it is so far away until something like thsi happens and I cant envisage getting the same treatment with someone else.

So Bonnie is booked in for Wednesday until then its Metacalm so we shall see what the recommendation for pain relief is after that.

Love Edith Bonnie and the rest of the gang

  5. Bonnie our 8 year old neo has a rampant form of Bone cancer.

here she is the wonderful Bonnie

We have decided because of her fearful nature that we will not put her through any stress and she will not be going for x ray...we know what it is and wewould not be going down the amputation road on the vets advice...

    so.

Ray and i have an appointment with the vet on Monday to plan her pain relief

It has already been decided that when the time comes the vet will willingly come here even although we are 30 miles away, they are wonderful and so supportive.

Please dont start a debate about our descision, I couldnt bear it.

Just send Bonnie all the love and Reiki and hugs you can muster for her Higher Good100_0032.jpg

Thought I would give her her own thread as well as a healing bitty
